Siri is Apple's virtual assistant program, also known as the voice control feature, first launched on the iPhone 4S and later models. If you want to install Siri on older iPhone models, you must jailbreak your phone and use Cydia to install the middleware. Alternatively, you install a legitimate app that has the same features as Siri. To learn the two ways above, read the following article.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: The Phone Unlocking Siri Experience

1. 

   Get an alternative voice control app. Because the iPhone 4 doesn't support Siri, the only way to set it up is to jailbreak the device. But that's not the only way to experience voice control as there are a bunch of apps that are similar and even better than Siri.
   • Dragon Go! One of the most popular voice control apps, developed by the company itself. It works with a lot of other apps, including Yelp, Spotify, Google, and more.
   • Dragon Diction is an add-on app on Dragon Go! allows you to experiment with your own voice.

   Use the voice control function built into iPhone 4. You might not have a Siri app, but maybe you can still give voice commands? To access the Voice Control function, press and hold the Home button until the function appears. The phone vibrates and beeps when opening Voice Control.
   • Make a phone call by saying "Call Name"or" Call Phone number #’.
   • Call FaceTime by saying "FaceTime Name’.

Part 2 of 3: Unlock iPhone 4

iOS 7

1. 

   
   
   Check iOS version. You can jailbreak iOS 7 iPhone 4 as long as you are not using version 7.0.6. iOS 7.1 onwards since it has its jailbreak disabled, there is no indication that it can be cracked. If you upgraded to 7.1 or later, you are required to use the first way of this article to experience the Siri feature because it is not possible to unlock your phone.

   Make sure to update iTunes. You need the latest version of iTunes to jailbreak your phone. Refer to the iTunes update tutorials for more details.

3. 

   Download evasi0n 7. This is a phone unlocking program. Evasi0n 7 is a free program and should only be downloaded from the evad3rs website. Sites that request a fee to download this program are all scams.

4. 

   Backup iPhone. Before proceeding with jailbreak, always make sure to back up the data on your phone so that it can be easily restored later if something goes wrong. Since cracking is not an officially supported action, there is a good chance that an error will occur. Refer to the articles on data backup on iPhone for more details.

   Start the jailbreak program. Find the downloaded file, unzip it, then start the cracking process. Windows users can right-click on the program's icon and select "Run as Administrator" (Opens as Administrator).

6. 

   Disables screen lock function. If you set a screen lock password, you need to disable it temporarily during the jailbreak process. If not, then the crack will fail.
   • You can turn off passwords by going to Settings, selecting General, and then selecting Passcode Lock. Then switch to OFF mode.

7. 

   Connect iPhone 4 to computer. The evasi0n 7 program is capable of detecting the phone as soon as it is connected and displaying the iOS version in use. Click the Jailbreak button to begin the process.

8. 

   Wait for the completion of the first stage. You can observe the jailbreak process on the evasi0n program window. It may take quite a while so please wait patiently, do not open iTunes or Xcode during this time.

9. 

   Unlock phone. After the first phase has finished, the phone will reboot and the evasi0n program informs you that it needs to unlock the phone to continue. Do not turn off evasi0n in this step or crack will fail.

10. 

    Select evasi0n application 7. After unlocking your phone, you will see a new application called evasi0n 7 appear on the Home screen. Launch the application to initiate the next stage of the jailbreak process. The screen will go white and the phone will reboot again. You can see the entire jailbreak process on your phone, but you still have to run the program on your computer.

iOS 6

1. 

   Check iOS version. If you use iOS 6, the tools used also vary by OS version.If it's iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, or 6.1.5, you need p0sixspwn, which can be downloaded from the evad3rs website.    Remember to update iTunes. You need the latest version of iTunes installed to jailbreak your phone. Refer to the online tutorials for more details.

   Download p0sixpwn. This is a phone unlocking program. p0sixspwn is completely free, you should download it from evad3rs website. Any site that asks for a fee is fraud.

8. 

   Launch Cydia. After completing the first stage, you will see Cydia on the Home screen. You need to keep the iPhone connected to the computer and run the program p0sixpwn on the computer. Tap the Cydia icon to open the app and complete the jailbreak.
   • When you start Cydia for the first time, you will get a "Preparing Filesystem" message. This process can take quite a while, especially with older devices like iPhone 4, so please wait patiently.

Part 3 of 3: Setting up Siri Services

1. 

   Add a repository to install Siri. To download software through Cydia, you need to add the repository containing the file you want. Think of this repository as a channel for a specific need. To install the Siri tool, you need to add a specific repository:
   • Open Cydia, then select Manage → Sources → Edit → Add.
   • Enter the following address: http://repo.siriport.ru
   • Select "Add Source" to add as a container to the list.

   Open the repository. After you have added the repository, you can choose the repository from the Sources list. The repository displays a list of available files. The download may take a while because the servers are located in Russia. Choose a package compatible with your device:
   • iOS 7 - SiriPort (Original) for iOS 7
   • iOS 6 - SiriPort (Original) for iOS 6.1.x (Select the item that is compatible with the current version. If it is 6.1.4 or 6.1.5, select the item for version 6.1.3)

3. 

   Open Settings. After installing the package, go back to the Home screen and open the Install section. Scroll down until you see the "SiriPort.ru (Original)" option. Touch it.

   Certificate installation. When you open SiriPort in the Settings section, you'll see an "Install Certificate" option at the top of the menu. Tap this option and you will be redirected to a website in Safari asking for a certificate to be installed. This is needed to connect to the Siri server and be able to give voice commands. Select "Install Certificate" on the website, and the "Install Profile" window will appear.

5. 

   Profile settings. You should see the SiriPort.ru name along with the message "Not Trusted". Select "Install" then select "Install" to confirm. The "Not Trusted" message is changed to "Trusted" and checked. Siri installation is complete.

6. 

   Activate Siri. Before using Siri, you need to activate it. To do this, press and hold the Home button until the Siri interface appears. Try a few simple commands like "Hello". Wait for Siri to respond. These actions are tricky because there are often errors connecting to the server. You may need to try several times to activate it.
   • Restarting the device can make connecting to Siri easier.
   • After receiving Siri's response, a connection is established and you can use Siri at any time. Understand that Siri responds more slowly to legitimate programs because, in fact, voice commands are sent to a foreign server to be processed and sent back to you.
