Occasionally, you get a headache because you cannot change the content on a file that is scanned in JPEG similar to when you are editing an MS Word document. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology can help us to convert scanned files in JPEG format into editable Word text to make the necessary changes. You can use online OCR service, or download OCR software to convert.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Online OCR Service
Access http://www.onlineocr.net. This website allows converting JPEG images to word text for free.
Select the image file to convert in your computer.
Select the language of the text written in the scanned image.
Select the desired output file format --.docx by default
Enter the captcha code and click the convert button.
Download the.docx file after the conversion is complete. advertisement
Method 2 of 2: Download OCR software
Click this link: "JPEG to Word Converter" to download and install the software.
Open the JPEG file in the software and select Word as the desired file format. Click the Save button.
Word files will be converted and opened in the software. advertisement
Advice
- The higher the resolution of the scanned JPEG file, the better the output word standard.
