This article teaches you how to block calls from each unknown number or all unknown numbers on your Android phone. Since most Android phones don't have built-in call blocking, you'll need to use the "Should I Answer?" App. to block all calls from unknown numbers.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Block each number
. This slider will change color, indicating that Samsung Galaxy is no longer receiving calls from unknown numbers.- If you only want to block a number, enter it in the "Add phone number" field near the top of the page and select Done (Complete) on the keyboard.
- You can still receive calls from unnamed people as long as they don't use the virtual phone number. If you want to block calls from contacts, try the "Should I Answer?" Application.
Method 3 of 3: Block all strange numbers on Android device
Play Store, and then do the following:- Touch the search bar.
- Type should I answer
- Touch Should I Answer?
- Touch INSTALL (Setting)
- Touch ACCEPT (Accept)
to the right of any (or) all of the following:- local negative rated numbers (number of negative local reviews)
- community negative rated numbers (number of negative community reviews)
- numbers not stored in contacts (number not in contact list)
- hidden numbers (hidden number)
- foreign numbers (foreign number)
Block messages from unknown numbers if needed. If you want to block messages sent from unknown / unknown numbers, scroll down to the "Block INCOMING SMS" section and tap the white slider next to the option you want to apply.
Exit the Should I Answer application to save your settings. Now calls from unknown numbers will be blocked. advertisement
Advice
- The Samsung Galaxy series is the only Android version that comes with a built-in call blocking feature.
Warning
- Many Android models do not have built-in call blocking feature.
