This article will guide you to block emails from being sent from someone to your Yahoo Mail account. This needs to be done on the Yahoo website - you can't block another user with the Yahoo Mail app on your phone. Note that, while blocking a particular user will prevent them from contacting you using a blocked email address, the spam service will still use a variety of virtual email addresses, making it possible to block messages. Spam is harder than blocking regular users. Now read the instructions below and do it now!
Steps
Open Yahoo Mail. Go to https://mail.yahoo.com/ in your computer's web browser to open your Yahoo mailbox, if you're signed in.
- If you aren't logged in, you'll enter your email address and password when prompted.
Click Settings (Settings) in the upper right corner of the mailbox to open the selection list.- If you only see the gear icon (not the word "Settings"), remember to update the Yahoo Mail interface by clicking the button. Click More Settings (Add settings) near the bottom of the drop-down menu to open the Settings page.
Click the card Security and privacy (Security and privacy) on the left side of the page.
Click ＋ Add (Add) to the right of the "Blocked addresses" header in the middle of the "Secure and private" column.
Enter your email address. Type in the complete email address of the person you want to block.
Click Save (Save). It's a blue button below the "Address" field. This will add the newly entered address to the block list; From now on, any email from the sender on the block list is sent to the spam box. advertisement
Advice
- If you do not want to receive spam, you can mark and delete spam instead of blocking the email address of the sender.
Warning
- Blocking senders does not automatically delete emails they have sent.
