As the name implies, waterproof marker is not that easy to remove. That's fine when you're writing something on a label or drawing, but not so much fun when you're getting waterproof ink on your skin. Sometimes it seems like you can't remove the stain, no matter how hard you scrub. Fortunately, you don't have to live the rest of your life with waterproof ink on your hand or leg. There are several powerful cleaners and household products that can safely remove an annoying waterproof ink stain in a short time.

Method 1 of 3: Use alcohol based cleaners
Use nail polish remover or acetone. Nail polish remover and acetone are not really skin products, but they dissolve both nail polish and waterproof ink without damaging your skin. Unfortunately, nail polish remover evaporates fairly quickly and you may have to apply it several times. Pour some nail polish remover or acetone onto a cotton ball or cloth and rub the stain on your skin. Keep applying and rubbing more nail polish remover until the stubborn stain is gone. Then wash your flawless skin with warm water and pat it dry.

- Always use products that are safe to use on your skin to remove waterproof ink before trying household products.
- Don't forget to moisturize your skin after using these methods. Some remedies can dry out your skin.
