However the ink got on your skin, you can remove or hide the permanent marker from your skin by following the tips and instructions below.

Method 1 of 3: Quick methods

1. Know that you cannot get poisoned by the ink. The idea that ink can cause ink poisoning through your skin is a myth. You only get ink poisoning when you swallow ink, and even then only in very large quantities. Again, don't panic. If you are really concerned, you can call your doctor.

Tips

• Don't scrub too hard with steel wool, as this will leave a red stain that will be as visible as the ink.
• If none of this works, make a solution of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide and scrub the stain with a scouring pad. It will not come off completely, but it will fade to such an extent that it is hardly visible. You won't get red marks right away if you scrub so hard it hurts, as long as you don't do it for too long.

Warnings

• Make sure you don't eat washing powder with bleach. That is VERY dangerous. If you do get it, call the doctor or 112! Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
