This wikiHow teaches you how to download a free trial version of Photoshop. While it's not possible to get a full version of Photoshop for free and legally, you can download a seven-day trial version for both Windows and Mac computers to see if Photoshop is right for you.

To step

1. Open the Photoshop web page. Go to https://www.adobe.com/en/products/photoshop.html in your browser.
2. click on Free trial version . This option can be found at the top of the webpage. You will be taken to the download page where you can download Photoshop to your computer.
   • You can click the link Again click in the center of the page, if the Photoshop download does not start immediately.
3. Open the free trial version of Photoshop. Double-click the Photoshop download file to start installing Photoshop on your computer.
   • If you have a Mac, you must confirm the file before you can install it.
4. Launch the Photoshop installation file. This step depends on your operating system:
   • Windows - after double-clicking the Photoshop file, click Yes when prompted, and wait for the installation window to open.
   • Mac - after opening the Photoshop DMG and verifying the file (if necessary), double click on the Photoshop icon to start the installation. In older versions of Photoshop you may also have to double-click the Installfile.
5. Sign up for an Adobe account. click on Sign Up, enter the email address and password for your account and click Sign Up at the bottom of the window.
   • If you don't have an account yet, click on Register and enter your first and last name, preferred email address, country and date of birth. You can then click on Register click at the bottom of the window.
6. State your skills in Photoshop. Select an answer from the questions "My skill with Photoshop CC is", "I am one" and "I download Photoshop CC for".
7. click on Get on. This is a blue button at the bottom of the window.
8. Follow the instructions on the screen. Answer other questions or accept the terms of use if prompted. Once you have answered all the questions, Photoshop will be downloaded to your computer.
   • On a Mac, for example, you may need to enter your administrator password before downloading Photoshop.
9. Wait for Photoshop to finish downloading. The download process usually takes 30-45 minutes with a reasonable internet connection. Once Photoshop has finished downloading, you can use it to your heart's content for seven days, but once that period has passed you will need to purchase the full version to continue using the program.
   • It is technically possible to create multiple new Adobe accounts and download Photoshop again, but this goes against Adobe's terms of use.

Tips

• An alternative to Photoshop is GIMP, a powerful free and open-source image editing program, with many of the same tools and capabilities as Photoshop.

Warnings

• Do not download Photoshop from a site that claims to provide you with a "free full version" of the software. Not only is this illegal, but most sites will also download malware onto your computer.
