Have you lied about your age on Facebook? If your age on Facebook is incorrect or not visible to friends, you will also have the wrong or no age on Tinder. Unfortunately, this can cause problems. If you're 21, but your profile says you're 27, it can affect your search results. Fortunately, you can easily fix this by changing your age on Facebook.

To step

1. Log in to your Facebook account from your computer or smartphone. Tinder collects profile information from your Facebook account and in order to change your age on Tinder, you will have to adjust it on Facebook.
   • You can only change your birthday on Facebook a limited number of times, so if you did this recently, you may not be able to do it again now.
2. Click on "Edit profile" at the top left of the page.
3. Click on "Overview" and drag the mouse to your date of birth. Then click on "Edit your contact details and general information". Change your date of birth and click on "Save changes". If you can't change your date of birth, you probably did this recently and Facebook has temporarily blocked this option.
   • Some users can use this Facebook Help page to change their date of birth.
   • Make sure your age is visible to your Facebook friends by setting this in the privacy menu.
4. Open Tinder on your phone.
5. Press the "Gear" button. Your settings will now open.
6. Scroll down and press "Delete account". You will have to delete your Tinder account and you will lose connections and conversations.
   • Instead of deleting your account, you can try to log out and then log back in. However, many users report that this does not work and you will still have to delete your account.
7. Remove Tinder from your phone. This is important as this will delete all stored data from your phone.
   • iPhone - Press the Tinder icon on your desktop for a few seconds. When the icon starts to move, press the "X" and confirm that you want to delete the app.
   • Android - Open your settings and select "Apps" or "Applications". Scroll down until you find Tinder. Select the app and then press "Remove". Confirm that you want to delete the app.
8. Download and reinstall Tinder. Use your phone's app store to reinstall Tinder.
9. Log in with your Facebook account. A new account will now be created for you and Tinder will retrieve the newly added information from your Facebook profile.
