This article will teach you how to share a GIF on Discord while using an Android. Before you start, make sure you have saved the GIF file on your phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 2: Share in a direct message

1. Open Discord. The icon is light blue and contains a smiling game controller. It is on your home screen or between your other apps.
   • If you are not already signed in to Discord, follow the on-screen instructions to sign up now.
2. Press ☰. It's in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Tap Friends. Your friends list will appear.
4. Press Everyone. This will display a list of your friends whether they are online or offline.
5. Tap on the person you want to show the GIF to.
6. Press the chat button. This is a button with two overlapping speech bubbles in the lower right corner of the screen. This will open a direct message to your friend.
7. Press +. It's in the bottom left corner of the screen. Multiple icons will appear at the bottom of the screen.
8. Press the image or file icon. The image icon resembles a mountain landscape and the file icon is a sheet of paper with a folded corner.
9. Select the GIF. Once you have your images open, scroll to the GIF and press it when you find it. When you opened your list of files, search the folders and press to select.
10. Press the send button. This icon is a paper airplane above a round, blue button in the lower right corner of the screen. This will send your GIF to the selected Discord user.

Method 2 of 2: Share in a channel

1. Open Discord. The icon is light blue and contains a smiling game controller. It is on your home screen or between your other apps.

2. Press ☰. It's in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Press a server. Servers appear on the left side of the screen as icons / avatars. Selecting a server displays its channels in the central panel.
4. Tap a channel.
5. Press +. It's in the bottom left corner of the screen. Multiple icons will appear.
6. Press the image or file icon. The image icon resembles a mountain landscape and the file icon is a sheet of paper with a folded corner.
7. Select the GIF. Once you have your images open, scroll to the GIF and press it when you find it. When you opened your list of files, search the folders and press to select.
8. Press the send button. This icon is a paper airplane above a round, blue button in the lower right corner of the screen. This will send your GIF to the selected Discord user.
