Whether you're preparing for a toga party or making a carnival costume out of a Greek Goddess, making your own is easier than you think! Read this article to learn how to do this.

Method 1 of 2: Make a toga with one shoulder strap

1. Fold the sheet in half widthwise so that it is the correct length. Hold it in front of your body to determine the size of the fold. You must cover the toga from your chest to your knees.
   • You can make the toga longer or shorter, depending on your personal preference.
2. Wrap the sheet around you from behind, holding a point in each hand.
3. Wrap the left tip around your body once and then pull it over your left shoulder.
4. Now place the right point through the front on your left shoulder and tie both points together. Tie a double knot on top of your shoulder.
   • As you turn, drape the sides of the sheet around your body so that the toga is tight enough to stay in place.
5. Hold the toga in place with some safety pins.
6. Complete your outfit with a narrow, braided belt and / or a gold headband. Combine with a pair of flat, brown or gold sandals. Go out and show yourself in your gorgeous look!

Method 2 of 2: Make a toga with a halter top

1. Hold the sheet horizontally against the front of your body.
2. Wrap it around your body a few times like a towel. Release a piece of about 1 meter from the front of your body.
3. Rotate the loose tip a few times and place it on your left shoulder. Wrap it around your neck and tuck it well under your right arm.
4. Hold the toga in place with a pair of safety pins. Also remember to pin the loose end.
5. Complete your creation with a golden ribbon or cord, or a braided belt around your waist. Wear a gold headband or leaf wreath in your hair. Party in your latest outfit!

Tips

• Wear a strapless bra or a white tube top under your gown in case it gets loose at the party.
• Use a cheap sheet that you can throw away later, especially if you're going to a big party where it can get dirty.
• If you are concerned that the toga will show through, wear white clothing underneath (such as shorts and a camisole). This will make you feel more comfortable.
