Having trouble riding your horse in Minecraft after all the name making, building and mob hunting? Look no further as here are some solutions to this problem.

To step

Method 1 of 4: Take off

1. Right click on the horse with an empty hand. Then you will take off.
2. The horse will likely throw you off. Try again until you see hearts appear on the screen.
3. Click on "E" and you will see the horse's inventory.
4. Saddle the horse when you see a picture of a saddle, and also a harness if you wish.

Method 2 of 4: Apples

1. Find about 16 apples near trees and other places.
2. Go to the horse and right click on it until the apples are gone. You feed horses in Minecraft by right clicking on them.
3. You will see about 3 hearts when particles are activated, after which the horse is tamed for you.

Method 3 of 4: Equip the animal with items

1. To load a chest onto a mule or donkey, make sure you have a chest in your hand and click on the back of the donkey or donkey. In this way the chest is rigged. More tips:
   • To open the chest, click on the donkey or mule while driving.
   • To remove the chest, right click on the donkey or mule while driving, after which an icon of a chest will appear in the harness lock. Remove the chest with Shift-click, or by dragging the chest to your inventory.
2. Use the normal movement cursors in Minecraft to move and Left-Shift to dismount.

Method 4 of 4: Riding

1. Tame the horse.
2. Click on it a few times. The horse may not want to be ridden.
3. Open your inventory. Find a saddle.
4. Open the horse's inventory. Place the saddle there.
5. Click on the horse again. Now you can ride it.
6. Get golden or regular apples. Let the horse eat one. You should see hearts appear.
7. Find an anvil and name tag. Drop the anvil and click on it.
8. Drag the name card to it to fix it.
9. Type in the name of the horse. Click on Save.
10. Take the name tag from the horse. Click on it and now the horse has a name.
11. Provide a direction. Click on the horse to link it to it.
12. Drag the horse wherever you want it to go.
    • Do not go too fast.
    • If you are flying (not recommended), land on water.

Tips

• Feeding a horse makes it easier to tame. They eat grain, bales of hay, sugar, apples, bread, golden carrots and golden apples.
• Mules are not naturally found in Minecraft, but you can make one by crossing a horse with a donkey.
• You cannot armor donkeys and mules, but you can pack them with a chest.
• Golden apples speed up taming by 50%.

Warnings

• If you don't saddle up a horse when you try to ride it, you will only get a few steps forward and the horse will not move another step.
