In addition to the ability to give your character its own appearance in Minecraft, you can also get a cloak to dress up your avatar. The only way to get a Cloak is through Mojang, or by attending special events around Minecraft like Minecon. Fortunately, there are also mods available that allow your character to wear a cloak, where other players can see if they have the same mod installed.

To step

Method 1 of 2: Minecraft Events

1. Look for an official Minecraft event to attend, such as Minecon.
2. Register for the event.
3. Wait until you get an email with the code you need so you can have a mantle made in Minecraft.

Method 2 of 2: MCCapes Mod

1. Go to the mccapes.com website
2. Enter your Minecraft username at the top of the page.
3. Make up a password.
4. Click on Cape Gallery.
5. Pick out a coat that you like.
6. Select the cloak and click on "use this cape" in the next window.
7. Check the box at the top and click "Save option".
8. Click on the Minecraft Capes logo.
9. Click on Download Now.
10. Select "Extras Mod"
11. Save the file after you have clicked away the ad.
12. Follow the directions for your specific computer and version of Minecraft at mccapes.com/instructions.
13. After following the instructions you can start Minecraft and admire your new cape!

Tips

• If a website (or someone else) asks for your username AND password, they may be trying to steal your account.
• There are also other mods for cloak. If you don't like MCCapes, try another one that works for you.
