  3. Spread one of the slices with mayonnaise. When assembling the sandwich, you should start with the bottom layer. Use a table knife to apply a thin layer of mayonnaise to the bottom slice.   4. Add slices of chicken or turkey fillet, tomato and lettuce. Add several thinly sliced ​​chicken or turkey slices to the bottom layer.   7. Add another layer with chicken or turkey fillet, tomato and lettuce. Complete the second layer of your sandwich by placing all the ingredients from a completely different sandwich on the bacon slices. Start with the chicken or turkey, then the lettuce and place the tomato on top. Be a little less generous with the second coat to keep the sandwich from getting top heavy.

  9. Cut the sandwich diagonally and then cut those halves in half. Now comes the funniest part. The club sandwich is best known for the way it is cut.
