This wikiHow teaches you how to copy a Bitmoji from a mobile app or Chrome extension so that you can paste it as an image.

To step

Method 1 of 3: On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Bitmoji. It's the green icon with a white winking speech bubble on your home screen.
  2. Tap the Bitmoji you want to copy. To find it, use the icons at the bottom of the screen to view different categories, then scroll down to see all the options.
  3. Tap Copy. It is the third icon from the left on the second row of icons. This copies the image to your device's clipboard.
  4. Paste your copied Bitmoji into an app. Tap and hold the text box where you want to paste it, then select To stick. As long as the app supports copy and paste, your Bitmoji should appear.
    • Most social apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter allow you to paste the Bitmoji directly into a new message or post.

Method 2 of 3: On an Android

  1. Open Bitmoji. It's the green icon with a white wink in the app drawer.
    • There is no real way to copy a Bitmoji from the Android app, but you can save it to your device to share it with other apps.
  2. Tap the Bitmoji you want to save. Use the icons at the top of the screen to view the different categories, then scroll down to see all the options.
  3. Swipe left on the bottom icons and tap Save. It's the last option (a purple icon with an arrow) in the list of icons.
  4. Tap Allow. Do this when you are prompted to allow Bitmoji to access photos, media, and files on your device. The Bitmoji will now be stored in a folder called "Bitmoji" on your device.
  5. Share the Bitmoji with the app of your choice. The steps to do this depend on the app you are using, but you can share it with any image sharing app (eg Facebook, Android Messages, WhatsApp, Gmail).
    • Open the app you want to share your Bitmoji with, then find the Attach button - it usually looks like a camera, plus (+) sign, or paper clip. You will now see a list of folders on your device.
    • Go to the folder Bitmoji. You may have to choose something like "Local Images" or "Local Device" to find it.
    • Tap the Bitmoji to select it.
    • Send the message or mail.

Method 3 of 3: On a computer

  1. Open Google Chrome. To use Bitmoji on your computer, you need to install an app that only works with Google Chrome. If you don't have Chrome, see how to download and install Google Chrome.
  2. Download the "Bitmoji for Chrome" extension. If you see the Bitmoji button (a green icon with a white winking speech bubble) in the top right corner of Chrome, you already have the extension and can skip this step. In other cases, do the following:
    • Go to https://www.bitmoji.com.
    • Scroll down and click Download for Google Chrome. It's a black button at the bottom of the page.
    • click on Add extension (or extension).
    • When it is installed, you will see the login screen. Enter your Bitmoji account information and click Sign Up, or select Sign up with Facebook if your account is linked to Facebook. You need to sign in to Facebook if you haven't already.
  3. Click on the Bitmoji button. It's the green icon with a white wink at the top right corner of Chrome.
  4. Find the Bitmoji you want to copy. To find it, click on one of the listed categories (eg "luv ya," "birthdays," "you rock"), or type a search term in the "Search Bitmoji" box.
  5. Right click on the Bitmoji. If you don't have a right mouse button, press Ctrl while pressing the left mouse button.
  6. Select Copy picture. Make sure you don't accidentally select "Copy image location" as that won't actually copy the image.
  7. Paste the Bitmoji in a site that supports images. Almost all social sites and apps, such as Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and Hangouts, allow you to paste an image directly into a chat or post. Right click (or Control+ click) where you want to insert the Bitmoji, then select To stick.
    • You can also paste Bitmoji into other apps on your computer, such as Microsoft Word or Adobe Photoshop.

Tips

  • You can share a Bitmoji as an image from the mobile app, without copying or saving it to your device. Tap the Bitmoji you want to share, then select the app you want to share it with.
  • Both Snapchat and Slack can be linked with Bitmoji, allowing you to create "Friendmoji". These are cartoon images of you and a friend (who also uses Bitmoji).
