This wikiHow teaches you how to cancel an Amazon Prime membership so that it doesn't renew. You can do this via the Amazon website or via the Amazon app.

To step

Method 1 of 2: On a PC

1. Open the Amazon Prime cancellation page. Go to this page via the search engine of your computer. This will take you to the "End Your Amazon Prime Membership" page.
2. click on Terminate membership. This is a yellow button somewhere at the top of the page. If you click on it you will be taken to a login page.
3. Log in to Amazon. Enter your email address and password and click Sign Up. This will verify your account.
   • Even if you are already logged into your Amazon account, you will still be on Sign Up must click in the middle of the page.
4. click on Continue to cancel. This is a yellow button somewhere at the bottom of the page.
5. Terminate your Amazon Prime membership. There are two options: if you press End now Prime will be canceled immediately and part of what you paid monthly for Prime will be reimbursed, while if you click Termination on [date] You can continue to use Amazon Prime until the membership renewal date.
6. Wait for the confirmation page to appear. When the "Cancellation Confirmed" page appears, your Prime membership has been canceled.

Method 2 of 2: On a cell phone

1. Open Amazon. Tap the Amazon app icon, which looks like the "Amazon" logo hovering over a shopping cart.
2. Tap on ☰. It's the three-line icon in the top left corner of the screen. A menu will appear.
3. Tap on My account. You will find this option at the top of the newly published menu.
4. Tap on Manage Prime Membership. This is in the "Account Settings" section of the menu.
5. Log in to Amazon. Enter your email address and password when prompted.
   • You have to get on this anyway Sign Up even if your account login is saved for you.
   • If you're using an iPhone with Touch ID, you may be asked to have your fingerprint scanned instead.
6. Scroll down and tap Terminate membership. This option is at the bottom of the page. Doing this will take you to the top of the cancellation confirmation.
7. Scroll down and tap I don't want any more benefits. This is at the bottom of the page.
   • This option may not be available for you. If so, you should proceed to the next step.
8. Scroll down and tap Terminate membership. This option is at the bottom of the page.
9. Tap on Termination on [date]. This is in the center of the screen. Clicking on this will terminate the automatic renewal of your Prime membership; your membership will be terminated at the end of the current payment term.
   • There may also be Now terminations as an option. Tapping this option will immediately cancel your Prime membership and Amazon will refund the remainder of the current payment term.

Tips

• It is best to cancel your Amazon Prime account several days before your membership is renewed.

Warnings

• If you cancel your Amazon Prime account, you also no longer have free unlimited storage for your photos and access to the Cloud Drive. If you want to keep using this you will have to pay for it.
