Do you want to delete your Yelp account? The link to close the account cannot be accessed either from the profile menu or from the settings menu, but the process itself is quite straightforward, the main thing is to find the desired page.

Method 1 of 2: How to close your personal account

1. 1 Sign in to the account you want to close. Since your account cannot be closed through the mobile app or mobile site, you will need to log into the Yelp site from your computer.
   • Closing your account will delete all reviews you posted as a Yelp user, as well as any uploaded photos and comments left on the Yelp forums.
2. 2 Remove any reviews or images that you would like to remove immediately. When you close your account, Yelp will eventually delete all of your contributions, but this may take some time. If you would like to delete some reviews or images right away, please do so before closing your account.
   • You can find your feedback in the About Me section. Click on the Remove link next to each review you want to get rid of.
   • To delete photos, open the page of the company for which they were uploaded. Select the photo you want to remove, then select Edit caption. After that, a “Delete” button will appear next to the photo.
3. 3 Open the account closure page. Copy and paste the following address into your browser address bar: yelp.com/support/contact/account_closure.
   • The account cannot be deleted either through the settings menu or through the mobile application.
4. 4 Please provide a reason for closing your account. Yelp will ask you to indicate why you chose to close your account. You don't have to enter anything specific, just enter something in the field to continue.
5. 5 Click "Send" to send a request to close your account. Your account will not be deleted immediately.Wait for the confirmation letter that will come to your inbox.
6. 6 Open your confirmation email. It will be sent to the email address that was associated with the account.
7. 7 Click on the link to confirm your wish to close your account. Click on the "Close Account" button to confirm your decision. After that, the account can no longer be restored.
8. 8 The contents of your account will be removed soon. As soon as you confirm that you want to close your account, your data will be put on deletion. This won't happen right away, but over the next week or so, all of your photos and reviews will be erased from Yelp.

Method 2 of 2: How to close your business account

1. 1 Learn about the limitations. You can opt out of managing your business account on Yelp, but you cannot delete your business. The only way Yelp business owners have managed to remove themselves from the list is through lawsuits against Yelp.
2. 2 Go to the business account closure page. To opt out of managing your account, you need to send Yelp a special form. You can find this form here.
3. 3 Fill in all the required information. You will need to prove that you are the owner of the business and enter a valid contact email address.
4. 4 Wait for someone to contact you. Yelp will contact you before closing your business account. This is done so that a stranger cannot remove your access without your permission.
5. 5 Wait until access to your account is lost. This may take some time. You will not be able to remove your business from the Yelp list.

Tips

• Make sure you really want to close your account. Account closure is final and cannot be reversed. Any reviews and images you add will be permanently lost.

Warnings

• It may take some time before your reviews and images are removed from the site. This will happen automatically after you close your account.
