This article will show you how to delete and sign out of your Google account on your Android device. If you delete your account, you will not receive relevant messages and notifications.

Steps

1. 1 Launch the Settings app. Click the gear icon located on the home screen or app drawer.
   • Please be aware that your actions will delete all data associated with your Google account, namely contacts, calendar entries, settings and emails. The account can be added later to recover deleted data.
   • The device must have at least one account. If you don't have an account, create one.
2. 2 Scroll down and tap Accounts.
   • If the screen displays a list of accounts instead of this option, go to the next step.
3. 3 Scroll down and tap Google. You will find this option under the Accounts section.
4. 4 Tap the account you want to sign out of.
5. 5 Push ⁝. You will find this icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
6. 6 Tap Remove Account.
7. 7 Click Remove account again to confirm your decision. This will log you out of the selected account.
