1 Mix white PVA glue and water in equal proportions. Pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) water into a deep bowl. Then stir in 1/2 cup (120 ml) white PVA glue. Make sure you pour all the glue out of the measuring cup.Scrape it all over with a fork, spoon, or small rubber spatula.

2 Add some food coloring or glitter if you like. Start with 2 drops of food coloring. Stir and add more if necessary. If you want your slime to sparkle, add 1 teaspoon of glitter. Stir and add more glitter if desired.

3 Stir in 1/4 cup (60 ml) liquid detergent. When you mix the liquid detergent with the glue, the mixture will stick together. Continue stirring until a ball forms.

• Use a clear liquid detergent or color that matches the color of the food coloring.

4 Place the slime with your hands for 1-2 minutes. If the bowl is too small for this, dump the slime onto a flat surface and mash. The longer you crush it, the firmer and less fluid it will become. This will take about 1-2 minutes.

5 Play with the slime, then place it in an airtight container. For this, a container with a tight lid or a bag with a clasp, where food is usually placed, is best suited. Do not forget that in the end, after a few days, the slime will dry out and harden, especially if you play with it a lot.

Method 2 of 2: Making a Slime Hand Gum

1. 1 Pour 1/4 cup (60 ml) clear PVA glue into a deep bowl. Use a spoon, fork, or small rubber spatula to remove all the adhesive from the measuring cup and transfer to a bowl. You can use transparent PVA glue or PVA glue with glitter.
   • If you used transparent PVA glue, add 2 drops of food coloring and 1 teaspoon of glitter to it. It will be more interesting this way.
2. 2 Use a fork to stir in 2 teaspoons of liquid detergent. The glue will start to combine with it, and a ball will form. You can use any liquid detergent for washing clothes, most importantly, note that the color of the slime will also depend on its color. For best results, choose a product that matches the color of the adhesive. You can also use a clear product if you find one.
3. 3 Add another teaspoon of liquid detergent and stir again. The glue will start to set, so you will need to work hard to press the product into the glue with the flat side of a fork.
4. 4 Mash the slime in your hands for 1-2 minutes. Take the slime with your fingers. Squeeze and flatten it between your fingers until it is firm and less fluid. This will take about 1-2 minutes.
   • The longer you crumple the slime, the more elastic and stretching it will become.
   • If the slime is too sticky, add some liquid detergent. For starters, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
5. 5 Add some shaving foam if desired to make the slime fluffy. If you want to give the slime a softer texture, place it back in the bowl and squeeze out a generous amount of shaving foam on top. Mix it into the slime and be sure to collect all the shaving foam from the sides of the bowl. This will take a few minutes.
   • Be sure to use the foam, not the shaving gel.
   • After you add the shaving foam, the slime will look a little paler.
6. 6 Play with the slime, then place it in an airtight container. For this, a container with a tight lid or a bag with a clasp, where food is usually placed, is best suited. Do not forget that in the end, after a few days, the slime will dry out and harden. How long a slime will last depends on how long you play with it. The more you play, the more air comes out of it, which means it dries faster.

Tips

• If the slime is still sticky, add another 1 teaspoon (15 ml) of liquid laundry detergent.
• If the slime is too hard, add 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) of glue.
• Pour in the liquid detergent slowly. If you pour too fast, the slime will not stretch and resemble gum.
• If you have sensitive skin, use a laundry detergent made for that skin type or for babies.
• If the slime gets on your clothes or carpet, wipe it off immediately with a wet towel.
• Use green food coloring to make a traditional slime.
• You can make slime in any color you like. Remember that the color of the liquid detergent will also change the color of the slime.
• If the slime won't stretch, add lotion or moisturizer to it.

Warnings

• Do not leave ready-made slime in a cold place, otherwise it will be less stringy.
• Don't eat slime. Watch out for children who play with it.
