This article will show you how to accept an invitation and join a WhatsApp group chat on your Android device.

Steps

1. 1 Open the message or email with the invitation link you received. It can be in a text message, in an email, or in a personal chat message. The group admin can copy and paste the invite link into any text box to attract new members.
2. 2 Click on the invitation link. WhatsApp will automatically launch and a pop-up window will open on the screen.
3. 3 Look at the name of the group. You will find it at the top of the pop-up window.If a group administrator has added a picture of it, it will appear next to the group name in the upper left corner of the pop-up window.
4. 4 Find out who created the group. If you don't know who exactly sent the invitation, find the name of its creator under the group name. The name of the group creator appears in the "Group Created" line at the top of the pop-up window.
5. 5 View the list of group members. It will appear in a pop-up window under the "Members" section. Perhaps there will be people on this list that you know, and you will understand why you received an invitation.
6. 6 Click Join Group. You will find this green button in the lower right corner of the screen. You will be added to the group chat and will be able to send messages, images and documents.

Tips

• The group administrator has the ability to add a new member without any invitation. In this case, you will receive a notification that you have been added to the group chat (that is, there will be no link to click).
