Showering can be relaxing, invigorating, or somewhere in between. Perhaps you prefer to take a sutra shower, or perhaps in the evening. Pamper yourself and create an atmosphere that will leave only positive impressions. There are many ways to enjoy your shower!

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Create an atmosphere

  1. 1 Create a mood. Light the aroma lamp to fill the room with a pleasant scent. Light candles and dim the lights. Turn on the music. Do whatever you need to do to create a relaxing atmosphere.
  2. 2 Get everything you need ready. Place a towel and robe nearby to keep from freezing when you turn off the water. Bring shampoo, soap, conditioner, and any other products you need with you. This way you don't have to jump out of the shower looking for the item you want.
  3. 3 Turn on the music. Add a soundtrack to add variety to your shower experience. Consider installing speakers right in the bathroom, or use regular speakers out of the reach of water.Play rhythmic music for an energetic shower, or relaxing music for a soothing treatment.
    • Installing permanent waterproof speakers can be an expensive fad. However, you can get quite inexpensively with a waterproof Bluetooth speaker set, and it will be a good investment!
    • Try playing white noise or ambient to block out sounds around you. Get away from the whole world while you shower.
    • Try to include something that makes you want to sing. This could be your favorite song or the tracklist of the week. Turning on lively music can be a great inspiration for your next shower while taking a shower.
  4. 4 Take a lot of time for yourself. You can, of course, enjoy a quick shower. However, it will be much easier for you to relax if you don't worry about time. Pick a moment when you don't have to go anywhere and when no one bothers you.
    • Never mind the timing. Let this shower be endless and serene.
  5. 5 Pre-engage in physical exercise. You will be able to fully enjoy the shower if you are tired and sweaty, you feel hot, or if all of the above factors are present at the same time. Give a load to your body. Spend some time in the sauna, go jogging, or spend the day outdoors. The more you need a shower, the more pleasure you will get from it.

Method 2 of 3: Showering

  1. 1 Find the right temperature. Make sure to adjust the temperature to an acceptable value before entering the shower room. Some people like to take hot showers; others are warm; some are cold. Remember, you can always adjust the temperature!
    • Try starting with cool water (at least at first), especially if you've just finished a strenuous workout. Cool water has been reported to help accelerate muscle recovery and reduce pain.
    • Make sure you have enough hot water for a comfortable shower. If someone has recently taken a shower, then you might want to wait for the water to warm up again.
  2. 2 Get into your routine first. Wash your hair right away to remove it from the list. If you are going to shave, do so as early as possible. Don't put off shaving later. After completing all the “must-have tasks”, you can spend a few minutes enjoying the water.
    • For many, hair care is the most time consuming part of water treatment, especially if it is very long.
    • Put on a shower cap. If you decide not to wash your hair right now, just put on the cap and you don't have to worry about getting your hair wet.
  3. 3 Wash your body. This can be a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, especially if you have the right care products in place. Make sure that you are not allergic to any of the products you use in the shower, otherwise the experience will be ruined.
  4. 4 Get out of the shower. Once you feel refreshed, step out of the shower while carefully wrapping yourself in something warm. Drink something hot if you have prepared the drink in advance. Moisturize your skin with lotion or cream to be able to stretch the pleasure!
    • Long or thick hair should be brushed with a wide-toothed brush to prevent further tangling. Tangled hair can hurt!

Method 3 of 3: Having fun in the shower

  1. 1 Singing. The shower is a great place to sing your favorite song out loud. Sing whatever comes to your mind. Pick a favorite song or a memorable tune. Don't push yourself. Just enjoy it!
    • Whistle or purr if you don't want to sing! Just make some noise! Try not to emphasize “perfect” sound.Just let yourself be immersed in the music.
  2. 2 Have a “bath beer”. This can be a great way to relax at the end of a long day. The concept is simple: open a bottle of cold beer before stepping under the water. Then sip on your beer while the shower relaxes you. Let the warmth that envelops your body combine with the refreshing coolness of the drink.
    • Try not to add water to the beer! Place the beer in the shower, but away from streams of water. For this, a bottle will do better than a glass.
  3. 3 Reflections. Use the time spent alone to reflect on the accumulated thoughts. Get your thoughts in order, or let your mind wander. Many argue that the best ideas came to them during the shower! Make a plan for the day, focus on a project, or just give yourself time to daydream.
    • The maximum stimulation of the creativity of your consciousness occurs at a time when you are distracted, relaxed and happy - it is at this moment that your brain releases dopamine. The progress of science is behind the phenomenon of “thoughts of the soul”!
    • Prepare to write down your ideas. Buy a waterproof notebook, put the voice recorder in a waterproof bag, or just be ready to jump out of the shower to jot down something if necessary.
  4. 4 Share your shower routine with someone. If you choose to shower with someone else, it can be a fun and intimate experience. Make sure you know the person well before stripping in front of them! It is best if your shower is large enough to comfortably accommodate two people.

Tips

  • Body oils will also help a lot. Lavender or vanilla have a particularly relaxing scent. Rub it all over your body at the end of your shower. Then wash it off and voila! Your body is clean and hydrated. You smell magical!
  • Make sure all of your shampoo jars are safe and stable on the shelf. Otherwise, they can fall on your foot and ruin all the pleasure.
  • Use lavender soap or shower gel to relax and freshen up. The peppermint gel has a fantastic effect too!
  • Play some relaxing music.
  • Consider a bathrobe (after a shower) in advance for added comfort.
  • If your bathroom has more than one light source, turn off the main light and then turn on the shower lights. This will create a calm and relaxing atmosphere!
  • Make sure everything you need is within reach so you can fully enjoy your shower.

Warnings

  • Do not place the radio too close to water, or you may get an electric shock.
  • Be careful not to slip in the shower. If this has happened before, buy a special shower mat.
