In this article, we are going to show you how to connect a disconnected SD card on an Android device.

Steps

1. 1 Insert the SD card into your device. If you disconnected but did not remove the card from the device, proceed to the next step. Otherwise:
   • Turn off the device.
   • Pull out the SD card tray. Typically, the tray is located on the top or side of your smartphone or tablet. If the tray cannot be pulled out manually, use the special tool that comes with the device.
   • Place the SD card label side up in the tray.
   • Slide the tray gently into the device.
   • Turn on the device.
2. 2 Launch the Settings app. Click the icon in the Application Bar.
   • If you have a Samsung Galaxy, search the internet for information on how to insert an SD card into a Samsung Galaxy.
3. 3 Scroll down and tap Storage. Information about the storage will open, including the SD card - if it is disabled, you will see the word "Extracted".
4. 4 Tap SD card. A pop-up window will open.
5. 5 Click on To plug. The SD card will be connected, so you can use it.
