Is God cruel cannibal from fairy tales who wants to receive all the glory and honor? Of course not. He just and unattainable judge who already knows the truth in His judgment (in the universe). He deserves veneration: but truth, faith, love and hope in your life, as well as the desire to conquer souls, is the veneration that is important to Him along with others. Your attitude towards other people expresses reverence or lack of respect for God. In trying to hide the truth about God or from God (as in the case of contempt of court), we fail in trying to give "honor" to the Grand Judge of the Supreme Court itself.

  • Would you like to increase the felt and recognizable presence of God on earth to go beyond mere belief in Him?
  • Oh, you will not compete with Him and will serve Him - what is it called when a person doubts the Lord, does not forgive or does not seek to know Him?

Devils believe in God, they tremble before him even more than people... They are knowthat their age is short - and they are defeated.

Steps

  1. 1 Don't lie, or let pride or your personal ambition dishonor God's purpose.

«Think about what you are always before the eyes of God, he knows the essence of things, so be sure to honor His absolute knowledge and power, give Him honor and confess everything. There is no need to lie - because he knows everything in advance».

    • Example: During the war, Achan, the warrior, sought to enrich himself by hiding gold, silver, and beautiful clothes as a reward for his participation in the destruction of Jericho under the command of Yeshua.
    • «And Yeshua said to Ahan,
      • "My son, repay glory To the eternal God of Israel, having told the truth. Tell me what you did, don't hide anything from me!"(Yeshua, 7:19).
    • You can serve His people as a representative (His bailiff) and assistant (His social worker) to the Great Judge in His court. Serve others and Him according to your skills ...
  2. 2 Resist human ambition to compete with or surpass God as Jesus could. When Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth, the Pharisees tried to dishonor Jesus while continuing to revealingly praise the Lord.
    • “So, a second time they called the man who was blind, and said to him: praises To God by telling the truth; we know that Man is the sinner"(John 9:24).
    • To get recognition from him, they began to put pressure on him. Previously, the blind beggar chose his own path: only the truth, to give "praise" to God, and he said to them in response,
      • “Whether He is a sinner I do not know; One thing I know is that I was blind, but now I see ”(John 9:25).
  3. 3 Repent and honestly confess to God, as the prophet Jeremiah called upon God's people to repent and confess their pride. «Listen and listen; do not be proud, for the Lord speaks. Give glory to the Lord your God before it's too late ..."(Jeremiah 13: 15-17).
  4. 4 Give the Lord the best - not second-rateas worship that can deny praise to God. As a devoted priest, Malachi admitted the deception of the clergy and laity, who brought not the best gifts (Malachi 1: 13-14). Again, the prophet demanded the truth. "If you disobey and if you do not take it to heart to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send a curse on you and curse your blessings"(Malachi 2: 2).
    • Bring all the tithes (including a return in addition to tithing from your possessions or income) to the house of the Lord from your best possessions, especially the very first fruits - for example, your best expected earnings from early earnings (sweet first fruits) - before your belongings dwindle or you crash:

“9 Honor the Lord from your possessions and from the firstfruits of all your profits:

10 And your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your winepress will overflow with new wine. "
      [1] (or don't expect a bound promise / harvest).
  5. 5 Choose the path of praising the Lord and thus find new reasons for daily exultation besides worldly joys that can alienate us from God, but honor Him and feel “the beauty of His holiness”(1 Chronicles, 16: 25-29) when it comes to you.
    • «Dressed in robes of greatness and crowned with great reverence, the beauty of holiness"(Psalms 96: 4-9).
    • The author of the psalms, David, worshiped Him for the beauty of His holiness, because the sound of divine majesty is reflected in the music of thunder and storm (Psalms 29: 1-3). She is like the beauty of the angels praising Him in heaven; also think about beauty saints who have become witnesses of the divine nature of the Lord.

Tips

  • Love people. Love for one's neighbor is the most important commandment of God, love is close to His heart.
  • Serve tranquility.
  • Please the Lord with your actions. It can be any good deeds, thanks to which you you will feel better.
  • Communicate with God through prayer. The closer you get to God, the clearer it will be for you to lead a life that allows you to honor the Lord.
  • First of all, believe and accept Christ as your savior if you haven't already. Just believing in the existence of God is not enough, because even the devil knows that the Lord exists, but he is not worthy of God's grace. By accepting the sacrifice of Christ, we allow our sins to be redeemed by the sacrifice in which the Lord brought His son, who was punished for our sins. This is the only way we can receive God's grace.
  • God is just and merciful. God desires intimacy with us and loves us, but by His just nature He must atone for our sins and forgive us. That is why Jesus' death on the cross was so necessary, he died for us. Note that He paid for ALL of our sins separately, like signing a blank check in which He will accept any price (now and in the future) for our redemption: but not everyone accepts this blank check that pays for our atrocities. Such people refuse the grace of God, so the Lord has to rightly direct His anger on them, and not accept the atonement of their sins by the death of his son.
  • Strive to live selflessly and follow the covenants of Christ. By living a Christlike life, you are honoring God.
  • Realize that when you commit sin, you must receive just punishment. However, the Lord allowed his son to take your punishment in your place, which is also righteous and merciful.
  • Accept the omniscience (omniscience) of the Lord, then you can accept the fact that He is just, because He knows everything and still loves you, who honors God in your soul and in reality.
  • It should be understood that honoring God is good for humanity. God created us in such a way that we realize ourselves through intimate communication with Him. He wants us to really love / honor Him, not hiding the good from us, but filling our life with good (He has future and hope, as well as plans for prosperity for us).
  • Read the Bible and go to church so that you can better understand His will for your life, so that you learn to live honoring the Lord.

A warning

  • Confess in all your deeds (without hiding anything) or bear the punishment of alienation from God, who will not smile in the face of pride or hatred, leading to the denial of the Lord.
  • «Fear God, the prophet said in a loud voice, and give Him [God] glory. ... ...”(Revelation 14: 6-7), for those who deny God's glory and power blaspheme and speak untruth. "They blasphemed the name of God. ... ... and did not understand to give him glory"(Revelation 16: 8-9).
