In this article, we'll show you how to send a saved Snap from Memories or Camera Roll to a Story or a Snapchat friend.

Steps

  1. 1 Launch the Snapchat app. If your device doesn't have it, download it from the App Store (for iPhone) or the Play Store (for Android device).
    • If you're not already signed in to your Snapchat account, click Sign In, and then enter your username (or email address) and password.
  2. 2 Swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Memories will open.
    • If this is your first time opening Memories, click OK on the Welcome to Memories page to continue. In this case, there will be no saved snaps, so save some snaps first.
  3. 3 Press and hold the snap you want to send. The snap options will open, such as Edit Snap, Export Snap, and Delete Snap.
    • If prompted, click Allow to allow Snapchat to access your device's camera.
    • To select multiple snaps at once, tap the checkmark in the upper right corner of the screen, and then tap on each snap you want to send.
    • If there are no Snaps saved in Memories, tap the Camera Roll in the upper right corner of the screen to select an image in your smartphone's memory.
  4. 4 Tap the white arrow icon. You will find it under the selected snap.
    • If you want to edit the snap before sending, click "Edit Snap". This option will be unavailable if you are going to send several snaps at once.
    • If you are sending multiple snaps, look for the white arrow icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
  5. 5 Tap the name of each friend you want to send the snap to. To find all your friends, scroll down the page.
    • You can also click "My Story" at the top of the "Submit" page.
  6. 6 Click the white arrow icon again. The snap will be sent to the selected friends.

Tips

  • To change the location of the snaps you save, open the Storage section of your Snapchat settings.

Warnings

  • Keep in mind that Memories are not cloud storage, so any snaps saved in Memories will take up space on your device's memory.
