This article will show you how to send a beating heart emoji to a group or friend on WhatsApp on your Android device.

Steps

1. 1 Launch WhatsApp Messenger on your Android device. The WhatsApp icon looks like a green text cloud with a white handset inside.
   • If you have not yet had time to set up WhatsApp on your Android, this article will show you how to install the application and register a new account.
2. 2 Tap the Chats tab. If WhatsApp does not open on the chat list page, tap the Chats button in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. This will open a list of your recent personal and group chats.
3. 3 Click on a chat to expand it to full screen. Open a private conversation or group conversation.
4. 4 Tap the emoji icon next to the text box in the lower-left corner of the screen. The emoji menu will open.
5. 5 Tap the tab !?# in the emoji menu bar. On Android, the emoji menu is divided into several tabs. The button you want is the second category from the right at the top of the emoji menu.
   • You can also switch between categories in the emoji menu by swiping left and right.
6. 6 Tap the red heart emoji. This is the very first emoji in the upper left corner of the "!? #" Tab.
   • Don't add any other emoji or text to your message. Otherwise, it will cancel the beating heart animation and the message will be sent with a non-animated emoji.
7. 7 Tap the "Submit" button. This button is located next to the text box and has a paper airplane drawn on it. A red beating heart emoji will appear in the chat.

Warnings

• Emoji hearts in other colors have no animation function. Only a red heart can be animated.
