This article will show you how to mark where you are on your mobile app or Facebook website.

Method 1 of 2: Using a mobile app

1. 1 Launch the Facebook app. Click the white letter icon f on a blue background.
2. 2 Click on Anything new?.
3. 3 Click on Mark visit. This is the fourth line on the list.
   • If you have not done so before, give Facebook permission to receive your location data.
4. 4 Mark the place where you are. Select the place you want to mark from the list provided. If it's not listed, tap the Search box at the top of the screen and enter the name of the place. When it appears, click on it.
   • If the place you want to tag is not in the Facebook database, you can add it yourself. To do this, click on the blue "+" when it appears in the search results and follow the instructions on the screen.
5. 5 Click below your profile picture. It is in this area that the question is located Anything new?(iPhone / Android). The keyboard will open.
6. 6 Enter your comment. Write something about where you are.
   • If you want to add friends who are near you, click "Mark Friends" and select their names.If you do not find your friends in the proposed list, click on "Search" at the top of the screen and start typing the person's name. When you see the name you want, click on it. When you are finished tagging your friends, click Next in the upper right corner.
7. 7 In the upper right corner, click Share this. You have now added the location you are currently in to Facebook.

Method 2 of 2: Using a website

1. 1 Go to your web browser at the link: https://www.facebook.com.
2. 2 Click on Anything new? at the top of the window.
3. 3 Click Mark Visit. It's a location icon that looks like an inverted teardrop with a circle inside. It is located just below the question: "What's new with you?"
4. 4 Click on Where are you?.
   • The list of places you have already marked will appear in the drop-down menu. If the place you want to mark is among them, just select it.
5. 5 Start typing the name of the place. Enter the name of the place you want to mark.
6. 6 When the place where you are appears, click on it with the left mouse button.
7. 7 Click on Anything new?.
8. 8 Enter your comment. Write something about where you are.
   • If you want to add friends who are near you, click on the "Tag People" icon. It's a silhouette icon at the bottom of the dialog box with a plus sign. Start typing the name of the person you want to tag. Click on the name when it appears. Each person you want to tag must be added separately.
9. 9 Click on Share this at the bottom of the dialog box. You have now tagged your location on Facebook.

Warnings

• Keep in mind that it's not just your friends who will be able to see your location stamp. Moreover, if the item "Available to all" is selected in your profile settings. If you do not want people to know where you are now, do not mark this place or share this information on social networks.
