This article will show you how to temporarily disable AdBlock or Adblock Plus on a specific website or browser. AdBlock is an extension for the desktop browser with a white palm icon on a red background, while Adblock Plus is an extension for the desktop and mobile browser with a white ABP icon on a red background.

Steps

Method 1 of 4: How to Disable AdBlock / Adblock Plus in Browser

1. 1 Launch your web browser. Open a browser that has the AdBlock or Adblock Plus extension installed.
2. 2 Open the browser extensions tab:
   • Chrome - press "⋮"> "More tools"> "Extensions";
   • Firefox - press "☰"> "Add-ons";
   • Edge - press "⋯"> "Add-ons";
   • Safari - Click Safari> Preferences> Extensions.
3. 3 Find the AdBlock or Adblock Plus extension. In the list of installed extensions, find the name of one of these extensions.
   • In Microsoft Edge, click AdBlock or Adblock Plus.
4. 4 Disable AdBlock or Adblock Plus. For this:
   • Chrome - uncheck the "Enabled" box (to the right of AdBlock or Adblock Plus);
   • Firefox - click "Disable" to the right of the extension;
   • Edge - click on the blue switch "Enable" in the extension menu;
   • Safari - uncheck the "AdBlock" or "Adblock Plus" checkbox on the left side of the page.
5. 5 Restart your browser. The changes you make will take effect. The extension will be disabled until you enable it.

Method 2 of 4: How to disable AdBlock on a website

1. 1 Launch your browser. Open the browser in which you want to disable the AdBlock extension on a specific website.
2. 2 Go to the site. Open the website where you want to disable AdBlock.
   • For example, if you want to disable AdBlock on Wikipedia, go to www.wikipedia.com.
3. 3 Find the AdBlock icon. Most browsers have a section with icons of installed extensions. For this:
   • Chrome - click "⋮" in the upper right part of the window; a dropdown menu will open. The AdBlock icon is at the top of this menu;
   • Firefox - you will find the AdBlock icon in the upper right side of the Firefox window;
   • Edge - if the AdBlock icon is not in the upper right corner of the window, click "⋯"> "Add-ons"> "AdBlock"> "Show button at the address bar";
   • Safari - The AdBlock icon is located to the left of the address bar (in the upper left part of the Safari window).
4. 4 Click on the "AdBlock" icon. It looks like a white palm on a red background. A dropdown menu will open.
5. 5 Click on Do not run on pages of this domain. It's near the bottom of the drop-down menu. A pop-up window will open.
6. 6 Specify the pages on which AdBlock will be disabled. Move the Site slider to the right to increase the number of site variations that will be ignored. Drag the Page slider to the right to have AdBlock ignore specific pages instead of all pages on the site (the level of specificity increases as you move the slider to the right).
   • Not all sites require this setup.
7. 7 Click on Exclude. It's in the lower-right corner of the window. Your changes will be saved and AdBlock will be disabled on the specified site and / or pages.

Method 3 of 4: How to Disable AdBlock Plus on Your Site

1. 1 Launch your browser. Open the browser in which you want to disable the AdBlock Plus extension on a specific website.
2. 2 Go to the site. Open the website where you want to disable AdBlock Plus.
   • For example, if you want to disable AdBlock Plus on Wikipedia, go to www.wikipedia.com.
3. 3 Find the AdBlock Plus icon. Most browsers have a section with icons of installed extensions. For this:
   • Chrome - click "⋮" in the upper right part of the window; a dropdown menu will open. The AdBlock Plus icon is at the top of this menu;
   • Firefox - you will find the AdBlock Plus icon in the upper right side of the Firefox window;
   • Edge - If the AdBlock Plus icon is not in the upper right corner of the window, click ⋯> Add-ons> AdBlock Plus> Show Address Bar Button;
   • Safari - The AdBlock Plus icon is to the left of the address bar (in the upper left of the Safari window).
4. 4 Click on the "AdBlock Plus" icon. It looks like the white letters "ABP" on a red background. A dropdown menu will open.
   • Do not right click on the icon.
5. 5 Click on Included on this site. It's near the top of the drop-down menu. Adblock Plus will be disabled on the respective website.
   • To re-enable Adblock Plus on this site, click on the Adblock Plus icon and then click “Disabled on this site” at the top of the menu.

Method 4 of 4: How to Disable Adblock Plus on Mobile Devices

1. 1 Launch the Adblock Plus app. Click on the white ABP icon on a red background.
   • Adblock Plus is not available on Android smartphones.
   • Adblock doesn't exist as a mobile app.
2. 2 Click on the "Settings" icon. It looks like a wrench with a screwdriver and is located at the bottom of the screen. The Settings page opens.
3. 3 Click on the green "Adblock Plus" switch . It is located at the top of the screen. The switch will turn white ... Adblock Plus will be disabled until you enable it.

Tips

• To remove AdBlock or Adblock Plus from your browser, click Remove (or a similar button) for this extension on the browser extensions tab.

Warnings

• On some websites, you will have to disable AdBlock / Adblock Plus in order to view the content of the site.
