We will teach you how to draw zebra stripes so you can decorate your next piece with them.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Vertical stripes

1. 1 Draw two parallel curves in the middle of the sheet.
2. 2 Add curves to the right and left.
3. 3 Draw curves of a different shape on the right, but stick to the same principle and keep the same width.
4. 4 Add curves on the right again, the same width.
5. 5 Draw other curves on the left, keeping the same structure but giving them a different curve.
6. 6 Trace with a pen and erase unnecessary sketch lines. Highlight the stripes in black.
7. 7 Trim the drawing and intensify the color as desired.

Method 2 of 2: Horizontal zebra stripes

1. 1 Draw two lines like in the picture.
2. 2 Add two more lines next to them.
3. 3 Add more lines, but now draw a small oval next to them.
4. 4 Add more lines.
5. 5 You've got the shape you want.
6. 6 Circle the drawing.
7. 7 Take a black pencil and make zebra stripes out of the lines.

Tips

• Try experimenting with different lines to make the stripes look more realistic.
• Try different colors, mix and match - blue and green, pink and purple.
• Look at the stripes of a real zebra to visualize the model.
• When coloring the stripes, try adding brown shadows.
