Never got staple stuck in a stapler? Did your boss give you the task of stapling a lot of documents? Do not panic. You can do the job. Take it easy. Read the instructions. Learn to fix a jammed stapler.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: Check the degree of seizure
1 Take the stapler, turn it over.
2 Place your fingers on the metal part, just behind the wedge.
3 Assess the jam. Use the knowledge gained to select the appropriate method.
Method 2 of 5: If only the staple is jammed
If only the staple is jammed, use this method.
1 Insert a paper clip into the staple exit.
2 Find the staple and knock it out with a paper clip. It will take some effort, but the stapler will "wedge".
Method 3 of 5: The metal part of the stapler is stuck at the top
1 If one part of the stapler is stuck in another, try the following steps:
2 Remove your fingers from the stapler.
3 Slide a paper clip between the metal part and the top as far as possible.
4 Using a paper clip as a lever, push down on the bottom. This should open the stapler. If there is still a stuck staple, try the previous method.
Method 4 of 5: Failure to Charge Staples Because the Top Does Not Rise
1 If the top does not open, making it impossible to charge the staples, try this method.
2 Grasp the plastic part.
3 Pull it up firmly.
4 Repeat from step two until the stapler opens.
5 If not, try using a metal envelope knife as a lever to open the jammed part.
6 Ready.
Method 5 of 5: Using a binder
1 Open the stapler. Flip it over.
2 Find a small round hole on the metal piece.
3 Use the teeth of the opener to hook into the hole.
4 Squeeze the stapler and pull it down until you unlock the stapler.
Tips
- Do not steal staplers from colleagues.
- Do not lose hope and conscience.
- Don't yell at the stapler.
- Be persistent.
- Seal the documents with glue or tape, as a last resort.
Warnings
- Do not put your fingers under a stuck brace.
- Hold the stapler in your hand (index finger on the bottom of the stapler) when stapling documents. Do not press down on the stapler on the table.
