The Shining Pokémon is the Rolls Royce of the Pokémon World. These Pokémon are unusually rare and are something of a status symbol for the pokémon who owns them. Shining Pokemon differs from regular Pokemon in color, but has the same characteristics and parameters. It takes a lot of patience to get a shining Pokémon, especially if you want to build an entire team of shining Pokémon, but it's worth it. Read on to learn how to grow and how to catch the glowing Pokemon.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Breeding

When using a Shiny Pokémon, the Pokémon will display a shine animation after it emerges from the Poké Ball. Thereby creating radiance. A small red star will be located in the upper right corner of the Shiny Pokémon's profile.

  1. 1 Get Pokémon from a different region. The key to breeding a shiny Pokéon is breeding it from two different regions. For example, if you live in Russia, take a Pokemon from Japan or Europe. Be sure to grab the Pokémon you want the shining version of.
    • The easiest way to get Pokémon from another region is through exchange. There are several popular online trading sites that can make this process quite easy. Some of these sites are PokeBay and Reddit's Pokemon Trading.
    • The two Pokémon should be able to reproduce normally. This means that they must be of the same species or of the same egg group, and also of opposite sexes. If the Pokémon you want to breed is asexual, then you need to mate it with Pokémon Ditto.
  2. 2 Put on the shining amulet. You will receive a Radiant Amulet when you fill up your Pokédex. Having a shining amulet will increase the chances that the egg will contain shining Pokémon.
  3. 3 Send both Pokémon to daycare. Depending on their compatibility, the chances of getting an egg from mating them can be 20 to 70 percent. The game calculates the chance of getting an egg every 256 steps taken in the world.
  4. 4 Get your egg. When you receive the egg, you will need to take it out. It may take a while and you won't know what's inside until the egg is hatched. By breeding Pokémon from two different regions, your chances of having a shiny Pokémon are between 1/8192 and 1/1024 (more likely 8x).

Method 2 of 2: Binding

  1. 1 Check out the concept. Snapping is the practice of meeting the same Pokémon over and over again to increase the chances of a shining version of it appearing. Breaking this sequence will reset your odds, making the process a little tedious.
  2. 2 Get your poker radar. You can get the Pokéradar after you defeat the Elite Four. This device will show you the places in the grass where you can meet wild Pokémon, and it is very necessary to create a chain of encounters.
    • Bind the poker radar to one of the buttons and unbind from another object (bicycle, fishing rod, etc.). Using any item while binding, even accidentally, will reset your binding to zero.
  3. 3 Buy lots of Super Reflectors. This item is very important to maintain your snapping, as it prevents random Pokémon from attacking you. You should ALWAYS be under the Super Reflector effect when you snap. For long-term attachment, it is recommended to have at least 200 pieces of "Super Reflectors".
    • Also, do not forget about the large number of Poké Balls to catch the Shining Pokémon.
  4. 4 Prepare your team. Gather a team of versatile Pokémon with a lot of PP (an indicator of the energy required for a Pokémon to carry out any attack) so that no matter what kind of shining Pokémon you meet, you will always have a Pokémon in your team that can defeat him. You can also use the remaining PP points to calculate the chain of meetings.
  5. 5 Choose your goal. Shining Pokémon appear in the same location as their regular counterparts. This means you have to go where you can find the regular versions of your desired glowing Pokémon.
  6. 6 Find a large patch of grass. To make the binding easier, you need to find a 5x5 grass patch. This will give you enough room to walk back and forth without breaking the chain, as getting off the grass can break the chain of meetings at any time.
  7. 7 Stand in the middle of the grass. Use your first Super Reflector on yourself and then turn on the poker radar to make the grass shake. Be sure to look at HOW EXACTLY the grass shakes. There are three different ways the grass can shake.
  8. 8 Enter the first shaky grass. This will start the battle. If the Pokémon you meet is the type you want, kill it to start the chain. If not, end the battle and then take 50 steps to reset the poker radar and start over.
  9. 9 Examine the next herb. After defeating the first Pokémon, step into the next shaky grass to continue the chain. There are a few very important things to remember:
    • The next grass should shake in the same way as the previous grass was shaking.
    • The next patch of grass must be at least 4 cells away from you (in each guide, the number of cells is different, but this number is safe to continue the chain of meetings)
    • If a patch of grass is at the very edge, after the battle you need to reset the poker radar readings. Do this by walking 50 steps and turning on the radar again. But don't get out of the grass!
  10. 10 Repeat the process to increase the chain. Keep looking for scraps of grass and meet the same Pokemon. Each time you defeat a Pokémon, your chain increases by 1. You can either write the number down on paper or use a Pokémon with a strong PP attack as a counter. Increase the chain to 40.
    • If, for any reason, you break the chain, you will have to start over from the beginning.
    • Saving or exiting the game will also break your chain.
    • Using roller skates will break your chain.
    • Leaving the grass will break your chain.
    • Escaping the battle will break your chain.
    • Colliding with another Pokemon will break your chain.
  11. 11 Start resetting your poker radar. When your chain reaches 40, your chances of finding a Shining Pokémon will be the highest possible. You can now reset the poker radar until a shining patch of grass appears. Shining Grass will appear on about 1 out of 50 discharges. Reset your poker radar every 50 steps to get through the grass as quickly as possible.
    • Once you get the chain to 40, it can still take quite a long time for the glowing grass to appear.
  12. 12 Start the battle. Once you see the shining grass, congratulations! Summoned a Radiant Pokémon. All that's left is to catch the glowing Pokemon found in the grass. You can catch him in the same way as a regular Pokemon. Look, don't knock him out!
