1 Create a Gmail account.

2 Go to the site Google analytics.

3 Sign in with your Gmail account.

4 Click the Sign Up button.

5 Name your site to help distinguish it from other tracked sites.

6 Copy and paste the URL of the site. For example www.yourwebsite.com or yourblog.blogspt.com.

7 Fill in the rest of the required information and click the Continue button.

8 Copy the tracking code that appears in the large box.

9 Log into your Blogger.

10 Click on the 'Template' tab, then click on the 'Edit HTML' button.

11 Click on the 'Download Full Template' button to create a backup copy of the template on your computer. (It's always a good idea to back up your template before making any changes.)

12 Scroll down and paste the tracking code just before the closing / body> tag.

13 Click the 'Save Template' button to save the changes.

14 Refresh your Google Analytics page. The status should notify 'Tracking Installed'.

15 Wait 24 hours to see tracking results.

Tips

• The installation of the code varies depending on your website, but you can usually find admin panels that allow you to insert code in tracking fields such as Wordpress or by customizing HTML.
• The help page on the Google Analytics website will help you interpret your results and manage your page.

Warnings

• After installing Google Analytics, it will take about 24 hours or so before you start seeing all the data.
