Dua is a special prayer addressed to Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala). Dua can change what is predetermined for a person when, it would seem, all means have been tried. Dua is one of the types of worship. With dua we will never fail, without dua we will never succeed. Dua should be the Muslim's first and last remedy. Dua is communication with Allah, our Creator, Lord and Teacher, All-Knowing and Almighty. To make a correct dua, follow the instructions below:
Steps
1 Perform ablution, face the qiblah, dress cleanly and neatly.
2 Raise your arms to shoulder level, palms open up.
3 When making dua, use the words given in the Qur'an and hadith. These are the words of Allah himself and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). 
4 Start by listing the beautiful names of Allah.
5 Ask Allah, calling on him with your good deeds.
6 Be persistent, repeat the dua several times (say 3 times).
7 Praise Allah at the beginning of your prayer and read salavat to the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), also complete the dua with it.
8 During dua, be humble, express your desire to receive what you ask for, and fear the Lord by your appearance.
9 If you have done something wrong in your life, repent and try to make amends.
10 Admit your mistakes, shortcomings, and sins.
11 During dua, the volume of the voice should be normal: do not raise it, but also do not whisper. 
12 Show how much you need the help of the Almighty. Ask Him to relieve you of difficulties, weakness, and sorrow. 
13 There are times and places especially dedicated to dua. At such moments, Allah answers the prayers of those who cry. Try to make dua at this time. Don't miss these moments. 
14 Avoid rhyming. Rhyming leads to automation and, as a result, loss of concentration. 
15 Cry while making dua.
16 Repeat this prayer:- Dua Yunus, with the help of which he called to Allah from the belly of the whale: "La ilaha illa Anta, Subhanakya inni kuntu min azzalimin."
- "Whatever Muslim turns to Allah with these words, He will definitely answer." [quotes at-Tirmizi in Sunan, as well as Ahmad and Hakim, the latter called the hadith authentic, Az-Dhahabi agreed with him].
- Close the dua with the words "Alhamduli Lahi Rabbil Alamin".
17 There is a special time when dua is accepted. Of course, this does not mean at all that the rest of the time Allah does not hear prayer. Dua should be made at any time and in any situation, in sickness and health, happiness and sorrow, prosperity and need. When du'a is accepted: - If the dua makes the oppressed
- Dua between adhan and ikama
- Dua during adhan
- During the battle
- In the rain
- Dua sick
- In the last third of the night
- In the month of Ramadan (especially on the night of predestination)
- After the obligatory prayer
- Dua of the traveler
- During breaking the fast
- Bow to earth (sujud)
- On Fridays, some say on Friday, after Asr prayer
- Dua drinking Zamzam water
- At the beginning of the prayer (dua isiftah)
- Dua who began to pray with the words "Praise be to Allah, the purest and most Blessed"
- Dua of the "Al Fatihi" reciter (she is also a dua)
- When they say "Amen" during prayer (also after reading al-Fatiha)
- After bowing (hand)
- At the end of the prayer, after pronouncing blessings to the prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
- Before the end of the prayer (before taslim - greeting the angels)
- Completing the ablution
- On the day of Arafat
- Dua awake from sleep
- In a difficult period of time
- After the death of a person
- Dua of a sincere person whose heart is attached to Allah
- Dua a parent against or for a child
- When the sun comes out of the zenith, but before the Zuhr prayer
- Dua of a Muslim behind his brother's back (without his knowledge)
- When an army fights in the path of Allah
Tips
- We must believe that Allah will definitely answer the dua. Don't ask without faith.
- If you did not see the result of the dua, it means that Allah has prepared something better for you.
- When making dua, do not look up.
Warnings
- Ask for success in this life and the afterlife. You cannot ask for punishment and death for someone. You should not curse a person or an animal. You cannot, for any reason, scold Muslims or non-Muslims, as well as scold illness or bad weather (all this is from Allah). Also, you cannot ask through dead people (whoever they are).
- One should not make dua with the words: "this rain is given to us by such and such a star" and so on. One should not make dua against family members and relatives or ask for something sinful.
