This article will show you how to find files, photos, and videos downloaded to your Android phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 2: Use file management software

1. 

   Open the application tray. An application tray is a list of applications on a device. You can open the app tray by touching the icon with 6 or 9 small dots under the home page.

   Click Downloads (Download), My Files (File), or File Manager (File management). The name of the application may differ depending on the device.
   • If you don't see any of the above options, your device may not have file manager software on your device yet. You can go to the Google Play store to download and install apps.

   Choose a folder. If you see only one folder, tap the folder name. If your device uses an SD card, you will see two different folders — one for the SD card and one for internal storage. Depending on your device's settings, the Downloads folder may be located in either of those folders.

   Click the item Download. You may have to scroll down to find; Everything you have downloaded to your device is in this folder.
   • If you can't find the Download item, you may need to find it in a few other folders.

Method 2 of 2: Use the Chrome browser

   Open the Chrome browser. This browser icon is a circle of four colors: red, blue, yellow and green, called "Chrome" on the home screen. If you can't see it, look in the app tray.
   • This will help you find files downloaded from Chrome browser quickly.

   Touch the icon ⁝ in the top right corner of the browser.

   Touch the item Downloads (The downloaded file). This will display a list of files that have been downloaded from the browser.
   • To view a certain type of download, touch the icon ☰, then select the file type (eg sound, picture) you want to view.
   • To find a certain download, touch the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen.
