This wikiHow teaches you how to delete an email account on iPhone. After you delete the email account, all Contacts, Mail, Notes and Calendar information synced between the account and iPhone will also be deleted.

Steps

1. 

   (Install) on iPhone. Tap the Settings app with the gear icon in the gray frame.

2. 

   Scroll down and tap Accounts & Passwords (Password & account). This option is near the middle of the Settings page.

   Choose an account. In the "ACCOUNTS" (Accounts) section, tap the account (for example Gmail) that you want to delete from iPhone.

   Scroll down and tap Delete Account (Delete the account). This red button is at the bottom of the page.

   Click Delete Account when the option appears. The email account will be deleted from iPhone immediately with any associated data. advertisement

Advice

• If you just want to delete an email account from the iPhone's Mail app, you can tap the green "Mail" switch located in the middle of the account page to disable the account.

Warning

• Any contacts, notes, emails and appointments synced from the email account will also be immediately deleted from the iPhone.
