Content
- If the dough turns brown or lumps in some areas of the oven, that's fine.
Leave the mixture on overnight. Baking soda works best if left overnight or for 12 hours. If you can't wait, let the mixture sit for 40 minutes. However, you may need to reapply if you only keep the mixture for such a short time.
Part 3 of 3: Complete the vinegar cleaning
Spray vinegar on the inside of the oven. Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray the vinegar over the entire area with the baking soda mixture. The vinegar will make the baking soda bubble.
Wipe the oven again. Use a damp cloth to wipe areas with bubbles. If the powder still remains, spray on the vinegar and wipe it off. Continue wiping until oven is completely clean.
Clean the baking rack. Sprinkle baking soda over the baking rack. Then, water or spray white vinegar on the rack. The baking soda will begin to bubble. When the baking soda is bubbly, dip the baking soda in a pot of hot water and soak it overnight.
Replace the grill rack. After you finish cleaning, you will install the grill rack back to its original position. You also reinsert any removable items when cleaning the oven. Your oven is now ready to go. advertisement
