Today's wikiHow teaches you how to include a Snapchat friend on your Best Friends list of 6 people you interact with most often.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: Adding friends

1. 

   . Tap the Snapchat app with the white ghost icon on a yellow background. The Snapchat camera will open if you are logged in.
   • If not logged in, please click LOG IN, enter your username (or email address or phone number) and password, and then tap LOG IN.

   Tap your profile photo in the upper left corner of the screen. Your profile page will open.

   Click Add Friends (Add friends). This option is in the middle of the page.
   • If you're close to your friend and the person has Snapchat open, have them scan the snapcode that displays your personal header.

   Tap the search bar at the top of the screen. The phone keypad pops up.

   Enter a friend's name to look up in Snapchat's database. Your friend's name will appear in the middle of the page.

   Click ＋ Add (Add) next to your friend's name. They will be added to the Snapchat friends list.

Part 2 of 3: Send a snap to a friend

1. 

   Return to the Camera page. If you haven't done so already, press the "Back" button in the upper left corner of the screen to return to your profile, then press the X to close the profile page.

   Snap snap. Point the camera at the object you want to send and click the circle "Capture" button.
   • If you want to send the video snapshot, press the "Capture" button until you are done with the video, then release.

   Click the "Send" button with a blue and white arrow icon in the lower right corner of the screen. A list of friends will appear.
   • You can add effects to the snap before sending if you like.

   Choose your friends. Tap a friend's name to choose as a snap recipient.
   • Avoid sending snap to others now because your main purpose is to put this person on your Best Friends list.

   Click the "Send" button with a blue and white arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. The snap will be sent to that friend.
   • For the snap to be counted toward the Best Friends list score, this person needs to be opened.

   Send this audience more photos or videos. Sending snapshots and videos to this friend more often than others will quickly bring them to the Best Friends list.
   • The more snapshots you send to this friend, the sooner they will be added to the Best Friends list.

   This person also needs to send the snap back to you. While they can be added to your Best Friends list thanks to all the snap you have sent, they also have to send you more snapshots than anyone else in order for the two to become best friends. advertisement

Part 3 of 3: Chatting with friends

   Open the Friends page. Swipe left to right on the Camera page to do so. A list of friends that you recently interacted with will appear.

   Open the chat box with your friends. Find a friend's name, then swipe left to right on that person's name. The chat page with them will open.

   Enter your message. Enter the message you want to send to your friends.
   • You can also add photos from your phone's camera roll to the message by tapping the card-shaped "Photos" icon below the text box and selecting a photo.

   Click Send. Messages are sent to friends who can now open and view them on the Snapchat app.
   • On some Android phones, you need to tap the mark ✓.

5. 

   You should always chat with your friends. The more messages you send each other, the sooner you will become each other's Best Friends. advertisement

Advice

• The Best Friends list can be changed as many times per day if you send enough snapshots to everyone.
• If a buddy has one of the emoticon states, they'll see the same emoji next to your name in the Best Friends list.

• You cannot manually edit the Best Friends list.
