Today's wikiHow teaches you how to register for a personal account for free on GitHub. The free GitHub account provides unlimited access to public and private software repositories, and allows you to collaborate with 3 other users. If you want to use more advanced options, you can upgrade to your GitHub Pro account to not be limited to the number of associates, and have unlimited access to all archives, number statistics, wiki, etc.

Steps

1. 

   Access https://github.com/join using a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer, phone or tablet to register.
   • Some ad blocking software (such as uBlock Origin) will prevent GitHub's verification CAPTCHA puzzle from appearing. For optimal results, you should disable your browser's ad blocker before signing up for GitHub.

   Enter personal information. Besides creating a username and entering an email address, you'll need to create a password. The password must be at least 15 characters long or minimum 8 characters with a number and lowercase letters.
   • Carefully review the Terms of Service (Terms of Service) at https://help.github.com/en/articles/github-terms-of-service and the Privacy Statement at https: // help .github.com/en / articles / github-privacy-statement before proceeding.    Click the button Choose (Select) for the plan you want. After you choose a plan, GitHub will send a confirmation email to the address you entered. Planning options include:
   • Free (Free): Private and public repository, up to 3 associates, bug and crash tracking, plus project management tools.
   • Pro (Pro): Unlimited access to all archives, unlimited number of associates, bug and crash tracking, plus detailed and in-depth tools.
   • Team (Groups): All the features mentioned above, plus group access and user management.
   • Enterprise (Enterprise): All the features of the Team plan, plus self-hosted or cloud storage, support for advantages, support for single sign-on, and more.

   Click the button Verify email address in an email from GitHub. The email address you provided will be confirmed and you will then redirect back to the registration process.

   Review your choice of plans and click tiếp tục. You can also choose to receive updates from GitHub via email by checking the box "Send me updates" (if you don't want to receive it, leave it blank).
