This article will guide how to create a PayPal payment link to send to friends or customers (or post on social media) to receive payments.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On desktop

1. 

   Open PayPal. Go to https://www.paypal.com/ in a web browser on your computer.

   Sign in if necessary. If the PayPal page doesn't open automatically, click Log In (Login) in the upper right corner of the page, enter your email address and password and click Log in. Then you can click My PayPal (My PayPal) in the top right corner to open your page.

   Press Send & Request (Send require). It's a tab at the top of the page.

   Click tab Request (Request). You will find this near the top of the page Send & Request.

   Press Share your PayPal.Me (Share your PayPal.Me). It's a link on the right side of the page. This will open a window with your PayPal link.

   Copy the PayPal link. You'll see a PayPal link below the profile photo near the top of the window. Click and drag the mouse pointer over the link to select, then click Ctrl+C (Windows) or ⌘ Command+C (Mac) to copy link.

   Paste the link where you want to share it. Go to social networking sites, email inboxes, or other locations where you need to paste the link, click the text box you want to use and tap Ctrl+V or ⌘ Command+V. The link will be displayed there.
   • You can either proceed to post or send the link depending on where the link is pasted (for example, if you are using an email service, you will enter the recipient's email address and then click the "Send" button ( To send)).

Method 2 of 2: On mobile

1. 

   Open PayPal. Tap the PayPal app icon, which looks like a white "P" on a dark blue background. This will open the PayPal page if you are logged in before.
   • If prompted to sign in, enter your email address and password, then tap Log In (Login) before continuing.
   • If you are using an iPhone or Android with fingerprint ID feature, you will be prompted to scan your fingerprint ID instead of entering your password.

   Press Request (Request). This tab is at the bottom of the screen.

   Press Share your link to get paid (Share your link and get paid). You'll find this near the top of the screen. A menu of applications will be displayed and through which you can share your PayPal link.

   Choose an application. Tap the app you want to use for sharing the link. This will open the app with your link in the "Share" field.
   • For example, if you want to send your PayPal link to a friend via text message, tap the Messages app icon on your phone. The Messages app with the PayPal link will show up in the text box.

5. 

   Enter contact information if necessary. For example, if you share your link via text message or email, you'll need to enter contact information (or group of contacts) to the person you plan to send the link to.
   • If you want to share the link on social media, skip this step.

6. 

   Submit or post your link. Once the required information has been added to the link, press the button Send (Send) or Post (Post) to share the link. advertisement

• You can use HTML to generate a link if you want to embed a PayPal payment link on your website.

• PayPal may deduct processing fees from any payments sent via your link depending on your account type.
