This article shows you how to create YouTube playlists and add videos to it. You can do this on YouTube desktop or mobile.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On the phone

1. 

   Open YouTube. You will touch the application with the YouTube icon. This will open your YouTube home page if you're signed in.
   • If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to continue.

   Tap the "Search" icon. It's a magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

   Search for videos. You'll enter the name of the video to add to the playlist, then tap the name of the video in the list that appears below the search bar. This will give you relevant YouTube search results.

   Select video. Touch the video you want to add to the playlist. The video will also be played immediately after this.

   Touch Add to (Added) with icon + in the lower-right corner of the video window to open the menu.

   Touch Create new playlist (Create a new playlist) at the top of the menu. This will open the "Create playlist" panel.

   Enter the name of the playlist. You'll name the playlist at the field at the top of the table.

   Make playlists privacy. Touch Public (Public) to allow everyone to see playlists on your channel, Unlisted (Unlisted) to hide playlists from people who don't have an access path either private (Private) so you're the only one to see the playlist.
   • On Android, you can just choose private by touching the box to the left of that selection. Unchecking this box will create a public playlist.

   Touch ✓ in the upper-right corner of the screen to create a playlist.
   • On Android, you will choose OK.

    Add videos to playlist. Access another video and select Add to button below the video, and then tap the name of the playlist in the menu. As such, the video will be automatically added to your playlist. advertisement

Method 2 of 2: On the computer

1. 

   Open the YouTube page by visiting https://www.youtube.com/. This will open your YouTube home page if you're signed in.
   • If you are not logged in, click SIGN IN (Sign in) in the top-right corner of the window, then enter your email address and password.

   Click the search bar at the top of the YouTube page.

   Find the video. You will enter the name of the video, then press ↵ Enter. This is the YouTube video search that matches your request.

   Select video. Touch the video you want to add to the playlist. The video will also be played immediately after this.

   Click the "Add to" button with the icon + in the lower-right corner of the video window to open the menu.

   Click Create new playlist (Create a new playlist) at the bottom of the currently displayed menu. The new playlist creation panel will open right in this menu.

7. 

   Name the playlist. Click in the "Name" field, then enter the name of the playlist.

   Set privacy settings for playlists. You will click on the "Privacy" drop-down box, then choose one of the following options:
   • Public (Public) - Anyone who visits your channel can view the playlist.
   • Unlisted (Unlisted) - Your playlist won't show up on the channel, but you can send others a link to the playlist to share with them.
   • private (Private) - You are the only one who can view a playlist.

   Click the button CREATE (Create) red in the lower-right corner of the menu to create and save playlists to your profile.

10. 

    Add videos to playlist. Go to another video and click the "Add to" icon below the video, then check the box to the left of the playlist name. This is the action of adding the video to a playlist. advertisement

Advice

• You can access playlists in card Thư viện (Gallery) below the screen (on mobile) or the "LIBRARY" section on the left side of the home page (on a computer).

Warning

• Take note of the privacy settings of the playlist. It would be embarrassing to save private videos to a public playlist.
