This article shows you how to create YouTube playlists and add videos to it. You can do this on YouTube desktop or mobile.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On the phone

  1. Open YouTube. You will touch the application with the YouTube icon. This will open your YouTube home page if you're signed in.
    • If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to continue.

  2. Tap the "Search" icon. It's a magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Search for videos. You'll enter the name of the video to add to the playlist, then tap the name of the video in the list that appears below the search bar. This will give you relevant YouTube search results.

  4. Select video. Touch the video you want to add to the playlist. The video will also be played immediately after this.
  5. Touch Add to (Added) with icon + in the lower-right corner of the video window to open the menu.

  6. Touch Create new playlist (Create a new playlist) at the top of the menu. This will open the "Create playlist" panel.
  7. Enter the name of the playlist. You'll name the playlist at the field at the top of the table.
  8. Make playlists privacy. Touch Public (Public) to allow everyone to see playlists on your channel, Unlisted (Unlisted) to hide playlists from people who don't have an access path either private (Private) so you're the only one to see the playlist.

  1. Open the YouTube page by visiting https://www.youtube.com/. This will open your YouTube home page if you're signed in.

  2. Click the search bar at the top of the YouTube page.

  8. Set privacy settings for playlists. You will click on the "Privacy" drop-down box, then choose one of the following options:
