There are thousands of free apps available for iPhone, iPad and iPod users.These apps can be completely free or are a trial, trial, or shortened version of a paid full push product. Steps

Method 1 of 4: AppCake

1. 

   Device jailbreak. To use AppCake, your device must be jailbroken. With each different iOS version or iPhone model, the implementation will be different, but all must install Cydia, the program that installs the jailbreak application on the device.
   • Unlocking iPhone will void the warranty. If you need to service your device, you will need to restore it, ie reverse the jailbreak process.

   Install AppSync. To download and install apps from AppCake, you need to install AppSync first. This program will configure the apps downloaded from AppCake so that they can work on your device.
   • Open Cydia, then select Manage. Select Sources then press the Edit button. Select Add.
   • Enter the repo that contains AppSync. For example http://appaddict.org/repo.
   • Select the most recently added repo and look for the AppSync package. Hold Install and then select Confirm. When the installation is complete, press the Restart SpringBoard button.
     • IOS 5.x users should get AppSync 5.0+
     • IOS 6.x users should get AppSync 6.0+

   Install AppCake. AppCake allows you to access jailbroken apps that other users have cracked and uploaded. You can download directly to the device.
   • Open Cydia and then select Manage. Select Sources and press the Edit button. Click Add.
   • Enter the AppCake repo, cydia.iphonecake.com.
   • Select the new AppCake repo and download the AppCake app. Install and restart SpringBoard.

   Start AppCake. You can go to the category of free downloads. Tap the app you want, then tap the Download button. You will see a list of sources for you to download.
   • If you're interested in a paid app, press the Store button to open the app's App Store page.

   Find a source to download. AppCake does not store files on servers that users post their jailbroken apps to online storage services. When you choose an application, you will see a list of uploaded applications.
   • Usually, you will only get one download from each source. Try a different source until you find the link that works.
   • Application version number is listed under source.
   • Unlocker alias (if applicable) with an app listed under the same source.

6. 

   Download the file. After finding the source, the web page will open the file on the hosting service. Follow the instructions on the screen to download.

   Install apps. Click the Download tab on AppCake after you have downloaded the app. Once the download is finished, an Install button will appear next to the list of apps. Press that button and the app icon will be added to the desktop after the installation is complete. advertisement

Method 2 of 4: AppAddict

1.

   Install AppAddict. After installing AppSync, open Safari on your phone and go to the AppAddict homepage. Drag the download slider to download and install AppAddict.
   • Alternatively, you can download AppAddict from the Cydia repo: http://appaddict.org/repo

   See apps to download. When you open AppAddict, you will see its interface similar to Apple's App Store. You can view popular apps, by category, or search for specific apps.

   Find a source to download. After selecting your app, click the Links button in the description to see the list of sources posted by the user.

   Download the file. Once you find the source, you will be redirected to the web page where the file is stored on the hosting service. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the file.

   Install apps. Once downloaded, swipe the screen to the right to open the main AppAddict menu. Select Installer to open a list of applications ready to install. Select the app you want to install, press the Install button again. Once the installation is complete, the application will appear on the desktop. advertisement

Method 3 of 4: Zeusmos

1.

   Install Zeusmos. Open Cydia and add an archive containing Zeusmos. There are many archives that contain Zeusmos. Download from the repo and install on your device.

   Access the application. After installing Zeusmos, open the app and press the menu button. Go to the category of apps you want or find the specific application.

   Get the app. After selecting an application, press the Download button in the summary screen. You will see a list of application paths posted by other users. Looking at the path name you know the web host.
   • Once you find the source, you will be taken to the file hosting website. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the application.

Method 4 of 4: App Store

1. 

   Open the App store. In addition to many paid applications, there are also many free downloadable applications. These apps can be either ad-free versions of a paid app, or completely free with no conditions.

   Sign in with your Apple ID. You need an Apple ID to download free apps. You can set up an Apple ID without a credit card.

   Access the application. There are many categories and apps featured on the App Store home page. You can use categories to search for the app you like, or specifically search on the Search bar. A free app will have the word "Free" in the Price section of the app description.

   Click on the application to view details. When you see an app you want to download, tap it to open a window to view details. Here, you know whether the app is compatible with the device or not, you can purchase more functionality in the app or not.
   • If the app asks to pay internal fees, there will be a small message under the company name "Offers In-App Purchases".There is usually a fee to use the full functionality of the app.

5. 

   Press the "FREE" button. This button will change to the "INSTALL" button.

6. 

   Press the "INSTALL" button. If your Apple ID is password set up, you'll need to enter the password to proceed with the setup. The application will be downloaded and installed on your device. Once the installation is complete, the application will appear on the desktop.
   • If your device is set up to download only when using Wi-Fi, you will need to wait for a connection to the network before the app will load.
