Popsocket (phone holder) is one of the popular trendy items because of its convenience. If you own one, you'll find using popsocket fun! Once attached to your phone or tablet, you can play with the poptop (design part) of the popsocket by dragging it up and down. However, you may later want to remove the popsocket and paste it somewhere else. Implementing this is quite simple. Just use your fingernail to slide down the base and separate it slightly.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Remove the popsocket

1. 

   Press down on the popsocket's design if it's open wide. Do not try to remove the popsocket from the device while it is open wide. Popsocket can be detached from the base during removal.

   Place the fingernail below the base of the popsocket. Press your nails against the edges of the popsocket base and push in until you feel the nails slipping underneath. You don't have to push - just barely until you get the popsocket. You should feel the popsocket's base being pulled out of the phone.
   • Slide a piece of floss underneath the popsocket if your fingernails don't fit into the sole.

   Slowly peel the popsocket out of the phone. Keep the popsocket lightly when dragging. Pull slowly and gently until the popsocket detach. Try peeling off the popsocket, starting to pull from side to side. advertisement

Part 2 of 2: Cleaning and re-attaching popsockets

1. 

   Immerse the base of the popsocket under cold water for about 3 seconds. Popsocket is quite small and has high adhesion, so you don't need a lot of water to clean and re-bond it. Too much water can extend the drying time limit by more than 15 minutes and damage the adhesion.

   Let the popsocket dry for about 10 minutes. Place the popsocket outdoors to dry naturally. Place it on a piece of paper or cloth with the adhesive side facing up.
   • Avoid leaving popsocket outdoors for more than 15 minutes. Otherwise, it loses its ability to adhere.
   • If the popsocket has not dried up after 10 minutes, gently wipe the base with a tissue.

   Paste the popsocket back onto the phone or another plane. Any clean, flat surface can be popsocketed on. However, keep in mind that popsocket may not adhere well to surfaces made from leather or silicone, or on water repellent surfaces. Mirrors, windows, tablets and smartphones are the best surfaces for attaching popsocket.
   • Let the popsocket leave for about 1 hour before expanding or compressing it. Popsocket will have enough time to stick more firmly to the phone.

Advice

• Don't worry about adjusting the vignette on the popsocket design when moving it. You can align the pattern position by twisting the popsocket design after it's attached.
• If your fingernails are not long enough or you fear they will break, use a paperclip or a bandage needle.
