Do not rush to discard whiteboards. This article will guide you on how to restore stubborn dry ink stains and / or spend a lot of cleaning time. Although it is difficult to revert your whiteboard as new, you can still write and delete it easily.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Completely restore the whiteboard
Clean all remaining ink on the table cleaner by brushing, flapping and vacuuming. Most problems encountered when cleaning a tablet are caused by dirty table cleaners. Be sure to pat off dirt from the cleaning cloth and use a vacuum cleaner to clean it thoroughly. Now the table cleaner will work.
Wipe the whiteboard with a dry cloth. Try to clean the board with this method, but don't worry if there is still ink remaining. Just wipe the board as clean as possible.
Wipe the whiteboard with the whiteboard cleaning solution and paper towels. If you don't have this product, just use a damp cloth. Do not replace it with other cleaning products as they can remove the special coating that allows you to easily remove the brush ink.
- Continue to wipe the tablet with a clean cloth until the tablet is free of dirt.
- Always use only soft towels or paper towels. Never use metal abrasives or pads!
Gently spray one layer of WD-40 product onto the entire whiteboard. WD-40 is a lightweight oil that gives the board the lubrication. This chemical prevents the ink from drying out after you write it on the board and doesn't leave any stubborn marks. Although the board will be a bit slippery, it is still usable.
Use a clean towel to wipe the layer of WD-40 on the entire surface of the board. When you're done, you will dry the board with a paper towel. The board will be oily slippery, but no streaks of oil will remain or clearly visible. It is recommended that you clean the tablet in a circular motion to ensure that the entire surface of the panel is covered with oil.
Try again by writing on a small corner of the board with a brush. Write a few strokes on the board with an erasable brush and wait 10-15 minutes before erasing. If you have followed the instructions correctly and the whiteboard is not severely damaged, the stain will be easily wiped off after it dries. advertisement
Method 2 of 2: Keep the board clean
Do not use sandpaper or use scraping to clean the whiteboard. The smooth surface of the board like the protective Teflon coating is the factor that helps the ink be cleaned easily and does not stick to the board. However, scratches and peels will cause the ink to penetrate and damage the board. Always use only a clean, soft cloth and cloth to clean the tablet.
- Tapes and adhesives will also remove the coating when you remove them.
Use a whiteboard cleaner and a dry towel every weekend to clean the board. Regular cleaning will help you avoid resorting to table recovery. Just spray a small amount of cleaning product and use a towel and you can clean the board before the ink adhesion, helping the board stay clean and beautiful for a long time.
- Any ink streak that has remained on the board for more than 24 hours can hardly be completely removed.
- Stubborn ink stains can be cleaned with a little propyl alcohol. However, be sure to wipe and dry the tablet after using alcohol - don't let the alcohol dry on it.
Clean up indelible handwriting or brush ink using the black erasable marker on the board, then quickly wipe it off. Wet ink stains contain a number of chemicals that cause old ink to flow, allowing you to temporarily remove indelible markings or brush ink. You need to act quickly, then clean with a clean, dry cloth for best results.
- Note, if you work slowly, the black ink will dry out and be ineffective!
- You can also use this method to clean individual ink streaks separately, just make sure you cover them completely before you remove them.
Do not use oil dissolving products, soaps, or cleaning products not specifically designed for the marker board. Most soaps dissolve oil and varnish insoluble in water, helping to remove stubborn stains and chemicals. However, the varnish on whiteboards is used for the purpose of preventing the marker from drying out after writing. Never use sanitary products not intended for handling whiteboards.
- In some cases, dry alcohol may be more effective than water and does not harm the coating of the board.
Always dry the board after wiping it with a wet towel. Don't let the board dry on its own. If you plan to wipe the tablet at the end of the day, use a clean paper towel and towel to wipe and dry. This will help extend the durability of the board.
Regularly clean the dry board cleaner to prevent dirt and brush ink from getting on. Just use a towel to clean the wipes. If you want the cleaning item to clean, wet a soft cloth to remove the ink from the cleaning cloth, but don't get it wet. - Industrial cleaning / restoration products sold in companies that manufacture whiteboards are the same as wax for cars.
- If there is writing mark on the board, you can use a new pen to map the word and wipe it off with a dry cleaner to remove any remaining marks.
- With the new whiteboard, the best product to use is a wet tissue with lanolin. As such, the board will retain its durability.
- The WD-40 sticks to the dry holes of the whiteboard to prevent the ink from seeping deep down and easily wiped off.
