This wikiHow teaches you how to host another streamer's Twitch channel on your channel. Host mode allows the channel viewers to watch another channel without leaving the chat room in the current channel. This is a great way to share and promote your favorite content with your friends, and to engage your community offline.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Play Twitch on PC

1. 

   Access https://www.twitch.tv using a web browser. You can use any web browser on a Windows or Mac computer.
   • If you are not logged in, click "Log In" in the upper right corner and log into your Twitch account.
   • If you don't have an account, you'll need to click on "Sign Up" in the upper right corner to create a new one.

   Click on your username in the upper right corner of the Twitch website. A drop-down menu will appear.

   Click Channel (Channels). The channel with your chat room will appear on the right.

   Import / host along with the name of the channel in the chat box. For example, if you want to broadcast the main Twitch channel, enter / host twitch into your chat box. The chat room will remain active on the channel, but all views on the channel will count towards the channel views that were broadcast.
   • To stop playing this channel, enter / unhostinto the chat room.

Method 2 of 2: Play Twitch on the phone

   Open the Twitch app. This app is purple with a dialogue bubble icon and two lines.
   • Click here to download Twitch from the Google Play Store on Android.
   • Click here to download Twitch from the App Store on iPhone and iPad.

   Enter the username (or email) and password associated with your Twitch account (if you aren't already logged in).

   Click on the profile photo. On Android, this photo is in the upper right corner. For iPhone and iPad, you need to look in the upper left corner. Your profile and content options will appear.

   Click on the card Chat (Chat). This is the fourth card below the top profile photo of the screen. The chat box of the channel will appear.

   Import / host along with the channel name in the chat box. For example, if you want to broadcast the main Twitch channel, you need to enter / host twitch into the chat box. People watching the channel you are watching will start watching the channel you are playing. The chat room remains active on the channel, but all views of your channel will be counted to the currently played channel.
   • To stop playing this channel, enter / unhost into the chat box.
