XAMPP (web server builder) for Windows 7 will help you install frameworks like Apache, MySQL, PHP, PERL and PEAR easily. XAMPP also saves you time and effort and provides software support for web frameworks such as Drupal, Joomla, Moodle or wikiMedia on Windows computers.

Steps

1. 

   On the web browser, access https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html

   Click on the download link for XAMPP.

3. 

   When prompted again, click "Save" and wait for the download to complete.

   Open the CD or DVD drive from My Computer. Install the program, then click "Run".

5. 

   Accept the default settings. A dialog box will open and bring up an initial installation prompt. Just press the Enter key and accept the default settings. To simplify installation, just press ENTER each time a command line appears. You can, of course, change the settings later by editing the configuration file.

   After the installation is complete, type x on the command line to exit the command prompt.

   Open the XAMPP Control Panel.

   Start the Apache and MySQL entries. You can also boot other components if you plan to use them.

9. 

   Click on the link under the Administration (Admin) in Control Panel to check Apache's settings.

10. 

    Click the Admin link in the XAMPP Control Panel to check MySQL's settings.
    • After the confirmation steps are complete, XAMPP will be installed successfully on your computer. Open a web browser and enter "localhost" in the address bar. You will be redirected to a page showing the message that you have successfully installed XAMPP on your system.
