This wikiHow shows you how to accept an invite link to join a WhatsApp group chat on Android.

To step

1. Open the invitation link you received. You can receive an invitation link in a text message, email, or in a personal chat message. Group admins can copy and paste the invitation link anywhere to add new members.
2. Click on the invite link. WhatsApp Messenger will open automatically and a pop-up window will appear on your screen.
3. Note the group name. The name of the group conversation is displayed at the top of the invitation pop-up window. If a group photo has been set by the group admins, you will also see it next to the group name in the top left corner of the popup.
4. Note the creator of the group. If you're not sure who invited you to this group chat, check out the group creator name below the group name. The invitation will indicate the name of the creator of the group, followed by "Group created by " at the top of the popup window.
5. Check the list of group members. In the invitation popup, all current members of the group are listed below Attendees. Here you may find people you know. In addition, the list can give you an idea why you received an invitation to the group.
6. Tap JOIN. This is the green button in the bottom right corner of your screen. You will automatically be added to the group conversation as a new member. You can immediately start sending messages, images and documents to the group chat.

Tips

• Group admins can also add new members without sending them a link. In this case, you will only receive a notification that you have been added to a group conversation. You do not have to click on a link to confirm this action.
