Alibaba is an online business-to-business marketplace with 50 million users in more than 240 countries. The site allows importers and exporters from around the world to trade and sell products using company profiles, product listings and integrated business management software. In this article, you will learn how to start selling your products on Alibaba.com.

To step

1. Create an Alibaba account to begin.
2. Click on "Sign Up" to become a member for free.
3. Enter your location, contact details, email address and create a password in the registration form.
4. Click on "Create an account".
5. Enter a product name and a search term.
6. Choose a product category. Choose a product category to help Alibaba categorize your product, making it easier for potential customers to find.
7. Enter a short description that will help users find and understand your product. This is used as a brief description when users search for products.
8. Click on "Next".
9. Add the product details by selecting the relevant check boxes next to "Product Status", "Application" and "Type".
10. Enter the brand, model number and place of origin of the product, if available.
11. Upload an image of your product. Select "Browse" to choose an image from your computer, or click "choose from Image Library" to download a previously uploaded image on Alibaba.
12. Add a detailed description. This allows potential customers to read any relevant information they may need when purchasing your product.
13. Select the payment and shipping terms that best suit your needs. Here you select the payment method, the minimum order quantity and the product price.
14. Select the production capacity, estimated delivery time and packaging details. This helps buyers get a feel for your delivery services and whether or not you can meet their requirements.
15. Click on "Send".
16. Create a company profile by entering your company name and company address.
17. Select a business type and enter which products / services you sell.
18. Create a member profile by entering your gender and contact details.
19. Click "Submit" to have your ad approved by Alibaba.

• You can see what your ad will look like to Alibaba users at any time while creating your ad. Simply click the "Preview" button at the bottom of the "Add Product Details" page.

• All advertisements on Alibaba.com must go through an approval process before you can start selling products on the site.
