In this article, you can read how to make sure your Instagram profile is no longer visible to everyone. To protect your Instagram account from strangers, you need to switch privacy settings to "Private" so that people who are not following you and who want to view your photos must first ask for your permission and wait for you to accept them. This procedure does not affect the followers you already have. As with most activities within Instagram, you can only change your privacy settings through your own Instagram account, and not through the Instagram website.
To step
Open Instagram. Tap the Instagram app. This one looks a lot like a colorful camera. This will open the Instagram home page, if you have already registered with Instagram. - If you haven't signed in to Instagram yet, enter your username (or phone number) and password and tap Sign Up.
Tap Profile 
Tap the gear with "Settings" (iPhone) or &# 8942; (Android). This icon can be found on both platforms near the top right corner of the screen. 
Scroll down and drag "Private Account" 
When prompted, tap OK. A drop-down menu will appear informing you of what a private account is. By on OK by tapping you confirm the change in your profile. People who are not following you yet and who you have not accepted will no longer be able to see your Instagram photos.
Tips
- The only way to make your photos invisible to your current followers is to block people.

- Keep in mind that any private photos you share on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media are visible to anyone you've added as a friend.
