The Pocky game is a party game played with Pocky (similar to the Mikado cookies), a Japanese biscuit covered with chocolate or other types of candy. Two contestants place the Pocky between them, in the "Lady and the Tramp" fashion, each trying to hold the biscuit for the longest time, often leading to a kiss. By following the rules of the game and choosing a partner you don't mind kissing, you'll be a great Pocky player in no time.

Part 1 of 2: Preparing for the game

1. Buy some Pocky. Pocky are sweet Japanese cookies that you can buy in many different flavors. You can find them at the local food shop, or along the international aisle at the supermarket. Milk chocolate is the most popular flavor, but there are many more flavors available, such as green tea, strawberry and vanilla.
   • If you can't get hold of Pocky, you can also play the game with another long, thin biscuit, such as a breadstick.
2. Choose a partner you don't mind kissing. If you play the game with a group of people, the rules of the game are still the same. You can have two pairs play at the same time. After that, the two winners must then play against each other.
   • The Pocky game often leads to a kiss, so it makes sense to pick a partner you don't mind kissing.
   • You can use this as a way to break the ice between you and the person you fall for, or as a way to deepen your relationship with a close friend.
3. Suggest playing the game at a party. The Pocky game is meant to be a fun (and sexy!) Party game. Bring Pocky to a party and then just propose to play the game. For example, you could say, "Has anyone played the Pocky game before?" People will respond with enthusiasm or curiosity. However it said, you will have an interested audience to explain the rules to.
   • You can also play the game on other occasions, such as a sleepover.
4. Brush your teeth and check your breath. Since you will get close to the other players, it is only neat to brush your teeth so that your breath does not smell when you start playing the Pocky game. If you don't have the opportunity to brush your teeth at the party, you can also chew on a piece of peppermint gum for a while.
   • Before starting the game, spit out the gum so it doesn't stick to the Pocky.
   • Only play the game if you are healthy. Do not play this game when you are sick. You won't get rid of those germs simply by brushing your teeth.

Part 2 of 2: Playing the game

1. Face the person you have chosen to partner with the Pocky game. You should both have the same posture, so either you are both sitting or you are both standing. Stand 30 cm apart.
   • Make sure you are both comfortable. If standing feels uncomfortable, sit down.
2. Place a Pocky stick between you. Both of you take one end of the Pocky stick between your teeth in such a way that the Pocky is a straight line between your mouths. Don't break the Pocky just yet. One of the players then counts from three to zero, and then the game begins.
   • Only one side of the Pocky stick is covered with chocolate. The other side is not covered. It doesn't matter who has the chocolate side.
   • If you play this with a group, someone else can also count down.
3. Eat your butt until you reach the center. Both players try to reach the center of the Pocky stick and eat their respective ends along the way. Try not to drop the Pocky while chewing. The object of the game is to reach the center of the stick.
   • If you drop the Pocky stick you have to take another one. If this is played in a group, you can both "lose" and be out of the game.
4. Don't back off. Both players' lips will meet in the center of the Pocky baton, and the first to withdraw loses. It can be funny to be so close to someone, so be careful not to giggle and lose your grip on your piece of the Pocky stick. Often, neither player withdraws, leading to a kiss. In that case, they both win!
