This wikiHow teaches you how to hide friends you have in common with other Facebook users when using Android. While you can hide your entire friends list from everyone, the only way to hide your mutual friends is to ask your friends to hide their friends lists as well.

To step

1. Open Facebook on your Android. It's the blue icon with a white "f" in it. Usually it is on the home screen or in the app drawer.
2. Tap on it ≡ menu. It's in the top right corner of the screen. This displays the menu.
3. Scroll down and tap Settings and Privacy. That's about halfway down the menu next to an icon that looks like a gear.
4. Tap on settings. It is the first option under "Settings and Privacy". It is located next to an icon that resembles a gear.
5. Tap on Privacy settings. It is the first option under "Privacy". It is located next to an icon that resembles a lock.
6. Tap on Who can see your friends list?. It's under the heading "How people can find and contact you".
7. Tap on Only me. This hides your friends list from everyone on Facebook. However, at this point your Facebook friends can still see which mutual friends you have.
   • If you don't see this option, tap Display all at the bottom to display the entire list of options.
8. Ask your friends to limit who can see their friends list to "Only Me". Once your Facebook friends have changed this same setting, they will no longer be able to see your mutual friends.
