There are many reasons why you want to delete a photo from Instagram. Maybe you just don't like a particular photo anymore, or maybe you think a photo is inappropriate or childish on closer inspection. Fortunately, it is very easy to delete an Instagram photo. If you want to know how, follow the steps below.

To step

1. Log in with your username and password. Go to the Instagram homepage and enter your username and password.
2. Go to your Profile page by tapping the profile button at the bottom right.
3. Find the photo you want to delete. On your profile page you will see all the photos you have uploaded so far. Search for the photo you want to delete, the easiest way is to view your photos in grid mode.
   • To do this, tap the icon on the left in the bar above the photos. It is currently not possible to delete multiple photos at once.
4. Tap the photo you want to delete. This selects the photo.
5. Tap the "Options" button. At the bottom right of the photo you see a button with three dots. Tap this.
6. Tap Delete. You will now see the options, the first option is a red button with the word "Delete". Tap this.
7. Tap "Delete" again. You must now confirm again that you want to delete the photo. If you tap this, the photo is deleted.
8. Repeat the process. You now know how to delete photos on Instagram!

Method 1 of 1: Delete tagged photos

1. Tap the Instagram app to start Instagram.
2. Tap the icon of your profile.
3. Tap "My Photos".
4. Tap the photos you want to remove the tag from.
   • It is also possible to tap the "Tags" icon on the right side of the grid to view all tagged photos.
5. Tap the photo. A list of people tagged in the photo will appear.
6. Tap your name.
7. Tap "Other Settings".
8. Tap "Remove me from photo".
9. Tap "Delete" to confirm.
10. Tap "Save". You should no longer see this photo on your profile.
    • To remove all tags, tap the three dots at the top right of the "Tags" menu screen and tap "Hide Photos".

Tips

• Sometimes the photo can be seen for a while after deletion, this is normal. If the photo is still not gone after a long time, you can contact Instagram.
• If the deleted photo was shared, the link will work for 4 hours after the deletion. After that, the link will disappear.

Warnings

• Think carefully before deleting a photo as you cannot undo the deletion.
