Fortunately, you can create a unique fake tattoo in your own personal style without spending any money. Make a tattoo using a highlighter and baby powder and hair spray, or gel deodorant. The following methods will help you create your own temporary tattoo with a highlighter.

Method 1 of 2: Using baby powder and hair spray

1. Wipe off the excess powder or gel. Use a clean tissue to gently wipe the powder and gel residue from your skin. Be careful not to rub your tattoo too much until you are sure it stays put and is completely dry. When you are done, you can protect the tattoo even longer by covering it with a bandage while you sleep.

Tips

• Do not try to wash or scrub the tattoo when you shower. This way the tattoo will last longer.
• If you don't have baby powder at home, you can also use cornstarch.
• If you spray hairspray too close to your tattoo and the ink starts to run out, quickly blot the hairspray off and grab a cotton swab. Dip the cotton swab in a little rubbing alcohol, squeeze out the excess alcohol and rub careful along the edges of the tattoo to remove any unwanted ink.
• While repairing your tattoo, dab it every one to two seconds with a clean tissue or some clean toilet paper so that the rubbing alcohol doesn't damage your tattoo even more.
• If you make mistakes drawing your tattoo, use nail polish remover to get rid of the lines.
• If you'd rather not use a highlighter, you can also use a regular felt-tip pen.
• Note that such a tattoo will not last for more than 48 hours if it is rubbed against clothing or if you wash it regularly. Due to long sleeves, the ink will wear off your arms within 2 days.

• Your skin can react badly to alcohol or highlighters, so be careful.
